Nestled in the tranquil, picturesque village of Meyronne, the Hotel restaurant La Terrasse is a hidden gem that delivers an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the serene ambiance of this quiet Dordogne Valley village set the tone for a truly magnificent stay.
Our accommodation in the tower room was nothing short of spectacular. Spacious, elegantly appointed, and brimming with charm, the room offered breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside and the river. The thoughtful design, blending historic character with modern comfort, created a perfect retreat that made us feel both pampered and at home.
The culinary experience at La Terrasse’s restaurant was equally exceptional. The service was impeccable—attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming, with staff who anticipated our every need while maintaining an effortless grace and a few well-needed French language lessons. The meal began with a scrumptious asparagus entrée, a masterpiece of fresh, vibrant flavors that showcased the region’s finest seasonal ingredients. The pork plat that followed was a revelation—perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with rich, savory notes that lingered delightfully on the palate. Each dish was a testament to the chef’s skill and passion for elevating simple ingredients into extraordinary cuisine.

Le calme, le lieu magique, du confort, meublé avec beaucoup de goût, un accueil très chaleureux.

La literie est de bonne qualité et la climatisation efficace. Le petit déjeuner est varié et composé de produits de qualité.
Nous avons profité d’un excellent dîner avec une très belle vue.

Séjour très agréable malgré la canicule. Piscine appréciée. Personnel attentif. Service soigné. Excellente table. Petit déjeuner copieux. Belle terrasse avec vue sur vallée Dordogne. Chambre si atypique.

Juste les serviettes changés tout les jours même si je les laisser sur le porte serviette (dommage).

La Terrasse is a beautiful place in a great area! It is conveniently located near the main attractions but in an area where your stay can still be relaxing and peaceful. The staff is beyond wonderful and the breakfast is well worth it. Did not experience the dinner /dinning options at night but the menu looked amazing as well. Will definitely return here.

L’architecture de l’établissement est remarquable :une partie se situe dans un ancien château du 12 ieme siècle.un bémol :la qualité du matelas très largement compensée par une excellente surprise :la qualité du restaurant !a recommander sans hésiter

The gorgeous location of this ancient property is a real draw. However the modest cost of the accommodation is perhaps reflected in the rather basic room. It has everything one needs but is could do with a refurb.

One of the main attractions of the establishment is the restaurant with its terrace overlooking the river below. The menu options are rather pricey and we felt the food was good but not outstanding.

Service was fine and the owner of the hotel who is also around on reception as well as serving on tables couldn’t have been more charming - she also speaks English and Spanish (and possibly other languages).

Lovely staying in an old castle but it does come with some challenges. There are a lot of curved stair cases and no elevators. Scenery is beautiful and the village is very quaint and peaceful.

This property exceeded all of our expectations. We arrived early and were allowed to check in without any fuss and were shown to a wonderful room (No 1) with a stunning view of the river. We had lunch in the restaurant and while I went to watch the Tour de France, my wife relaxed in the room and walked the dog by the river. The pool was a welcome relief after a hot day and dinner on the terrace was superb.
We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, it was just perfect. It was a shame we only stayed one night.

Easy to find, a short distance from the motorway. We parked 20 metres away in the small village by the church. We checked in and were shown to our room. The room was fine. The bed a little soft. A separate loo and shower which only ever happens in France these days.
But no one really cares about the room as long as it is clean and contains a bed when you stay here! This stay is all about the food. Which was fabulous.
So yes we will visit again. For the food. And the lady of the house who was charming.
Almost forgot we had a lovely little walk around the village. Perhaps 40 minutes worth. Very peaceful.
