Dumpy, dirty 3-star hotel in a beautiful spot.

Beautiful location next to the ruins.

Cons:

The hotel is shabby, dirty, poorly maintained, uncomfortable, hot even when it's cool outside, setves mediocre food, has bad art, offers limited and uninteresting wines, and has a filthy pool. The whole place seems like it must be owned by a fund or company trying to squeeze out as much profit without putting anything into the hotel, so every corner is cut. It's a 3-star hotel, not a 5-star.

L endroit est magnifique mais sorti de la tout à été catastrophique...

Cons:

Tout... Le service était dépassé, la climatisation de la chambre sous les toits ne marchait pas il faisait 33 degré dans la chambre... Tout l' espace piscine ne disposait que de 3 parasols... On a dû prendre nous même des serviettes des chaises pour aller s installer en mode camping dans la pelouse... Il n y avait pas assez de transats pour les clients... Pas assez de glaçons... Au final nous sommes parti sans même passer la nuit dans l hotel... Il serait un 3-4 etoiles correct mais un 5 étoiles en France c'est une aberration...

It is an incredible property and a fabulous setting, definitely worth a visit!
Pros:

The property is in a beautiful location. Rooms are beautiful. The food was very good.

Cons:

The receptionist on the first day appeared very stressed and appeared a little short. The dinner service took forever and was slow. It was 39 degrees which I guess is very unusual and there was no aircon which was not the end of the world but the room was very uncomfortable heat wise.

Un havre de paix
Pros:

Un lieu très calme et confortable, idéal pour se reposer et pour passer du bon temps. Le cadre est enchanteur avec les ruines du château et la forêt environnante. Le personnel est très agréable et serviable. Il y a un certain nombre d'activités à faire sur le site (balades, vélo, tennis, piscine...).

Cons:

Le château est peut-être un peu trop isolé par rapport aux grandes villes à visiter dans les alentours (Reims) mais c'est ce qui fait aussi le grand calme du lieu.

Fabulous historic Chateaux in glorious grounds. Stephan and his team went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. He recommended a nearby restaurant for dinner and arranged a private champagne tour on a Sunday. We will return.

Le cadre est magnifique et on se laisse prendre par la dénomination de 5 étoiles pas méritée du tout

Cons:

Hôtel: rien d’un 5 étoiles. Odeur de renfermé dans la chambre. Moisissures dans la douche. Douche descellée du mur. Porte salle de bains déformée ne ferme pas. WC dans la salle de douche avec chasse d’eau coulant en continu. Pas de mouchoirs en papiers. Terrasse avec une seule chaise pour chambre double. Pas d’alèses sous les draps.
Restaurant: Très cher. Service lent et sans classe. Carte modeste et des plats et boissons non disponibles. Apéritif sans rien à manger. Une heure d’attente pour le 1er plat. Obligation de dîner dehors alors qu’il fait moins de 20 degrés. Quantités modestes, qualité de petit restaurant. Seuls les prix sont d’un grand restaurant. Le niveau n’est pas acceptable pour être recommandé par Booking.com

Lovely Chateau set in the shadows of the ruins giving it an air of intrigue.

The chateau is lovely and has the added bonus of the ruins within the grounds.

He staff are wonderful and accommodating and did the upmost to make our stay pleasant.

The rooms were lovely and clean.

Un week-end magique dans un lieu historique et plein de charme à vivre en famille !
Pros:

Nous avons bénéficié d'un surclassement dans des chambres spacieuses et à l'ambiance romantique pour fêter nos 40 ans d'anniversaire de mariage avec nos enfants et petits-enfants. La direction et le personnel ont été très prévenants et nous avons pu profité des agréments de l'hôtel.

emplacement de l'hotel et belle piscine

nous sommes arrivés en pleine canicule et nous constatons le soir tard qu'il n'y pas d'eau suite à une fuite donc impossible de se laver et d'aller aux toilettes dans de bonnes conditions . pas de geste commercial sur leprix de la chambre et on nous suggère de se plaindre a booking directement .
par ailleurs la chambre supérieure ne disposait pas de climatisation , plus qu'improbable compte tenu du prix des chambres et du standing de l'hotel
