Château de Nieuil

L’accueil était impeccable,le service impeccable.Par contre, on nous a mis dans une tour, c’était pas top!Ça reste un avis personnel et subjectif.La Deco à l’ancienne,vieillot,très étriqué ..et n’oubliez pas vos prises anti moustiques.
Pour le reste, l’extérieur est canon,la nourriture est très bonne!

Magnifique endroit, un accueil très agréable, l’avantage d’un excellent restaurant sur place, dans un cadre superbe (même sous la pluie).

Les chambres sont d'un confort absolu,
Le décor est élégant et raffiné, et les lits très agréables.
Le personnel est exceptionnellement gentil

We booked this last minute as another hotel had let us down which threatened to ruin our holiday. Although it was one of the more expensive options we were not disappointed. The service was friendly and welcoming but not intrusive. We were given a complementary drink on the terrace. The pool area was lovely. We ate at the on site restaurant which provided an inclusive gourmet menu for vegetarians like me, this is really unusual in France. The meal was centred around fresh, locally grown baby vegetables cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. There was a choice of wine also included. The grounds are beautiful, the chateau itself is typically shabby chic but the air conditioning worked well and it was very comfortable. We would stay again and recommend it.

We were warmly greeted by our host and welcomed to the magnificent chateau with a drink. There weren’t many other guests around, as it was out of season, but the fantastic restaurant was buzzing with local diners in the evening. I made my hotel selection based mainly on location. It isn’t my usual style of accommodation, as it is very traditionally decorated (in keeping with the chateau), but the room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. We had a really pleasant stay. Aside from the stylish restaurant, which is located in a fabulous external building, the communal seating areas were uncomfortable and old-fashioned. They would definitely benefit from a facelift. However, I can imagine summer days and evening would be spent exploring the outside space that the chateau and the local area have to offer. Breakfast was simple yet good quality, featuring many items made by our hosts and local suppliers. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It would be great to return on the summer.

Séjour pour notre 44eme anniversaire de mariage. Nous étions déjà venu il y a 7 ans. Un accueil de grande qualité, un petit déjeuner copieux et sur demande, une literie parfaite le tout dans un décor de qualité dû à ce beau château construit pour François 1er. De plus, le dîner dans la GRANGE AUX OIES, le restaurant du château, fut de grande classe (je n'avais pas souvenir d'avoir mangé un foie gras aussi bon par exemple).

Un bel hôtel château pour une étape dans la région. Quel magnifique endroit romantique ! Hall magistral avec son incroyable escalier pour ce château Renaissance. Chambre confortable et climatisée, petit déjeuner très apprécié avec son choix de produits maison. Ne pas rater la détente dans la piscine extérieure. Très bel accueil à souligner.

We toured France 28 yrs ago and stayed at Nieuil then. Our first return rekindled happy memories of that first stay and we were not disappointed with our second. A lovely chateau, family run, very welcoming, lovely room, excellent setting, good breakfast, swimming pool, bicycles, tennis and excellent restaurant.

Can't praise this fabulous Chateau enough! The staff are great the restaurant is top class and the settings within the parkland the moat around the formal gardens are just unbelievable and so well maintained. The swimming pool is very clean and in a really peaceful spot. This is a marvellous experience, a must visit hotel and a unique gem.

Le restaurant situé dans les communs étant fermé le mardi, la personne qui nous a accueillis nous a proposé un "en-cas" qui s'est avéré être un vrai excellent dîner préparé et servi par elle avec beaucoup de gentillesse.
Attention ne vous fiez pas à votre GPS pour atteindre le Château de Nieuil qui le situe près de Roumazières-Loubert, mais se rendre à Nieuil (avec 2 i) et à partir de là, suivre le fléchage.

Underbart hotell, fantastisk personal, väldigt personlig service, lugnt och skönt. Väldigt god mat på den anliggande restaurangen. Enda nackdelen att det var långt till andra restauranger om man ville variera sig.

Beautiful Chateau and relaxing environment, large room although a little dated decor wise. Large bed had a split in and not very comfortable pillows.

Le château de Nieuil est un endroit merveilleux et magnifique, les chambres sont spacieuses, confortables et gardent toute leur histoire, l'escalier de l'entrée est somptueux et l'accueil très chaleureux. A recommander, surtout au printemps/été pour profiter du jardin, du tennis et de la piscine...
