I dont like comming to a hotell and they dont speak English.
Hotell is old, but it has its charm, just need a little service upgrade.
Bed was nice, rom was clean, but not very ideal.
Water from the shower was all over the floor.
Shower glass would not stand at its position, so had to make a little solution for that.
As you arrive the chateau and grounds are stunning and well maintained. Obviously a lot of effort money and care has gone into the infrastructure.
Restaurant was ok, very basic. But for the price was acceptable. Didn’t have breakfast.
Inside the rooms are very dated, carpet is stained, there’s even a 1970’s hairdryer attached on the wall in the bathroom(!). Curtain hanging off the rail.
I guess for the price you get what you pay for.
Such a pity as, as mentioned above, it’s a gorgeous set up with a pool (very nice) and grounds etc. All totally opposite to the dated interior.
Obviously being run on a very tight budget(no surprise with their charges and current costs of things) as when we arrived only who we thought was the Head Chef greeted us, checked us in etc, gave us drinks before dinner with no other staff arriving until 7.30 when restaurant service started! Turns out he was the owner. Felt quite sorry for him as he was running round.
Overall great value for what was charged, clean and helpful staff when they did come.
Breakfast was basic but okay. Evening meal in restaurant was good.
Room was okay but access areas run down, needed cleaning and some decoration. Servers did not understand allergy issues - even though they gave me gluten free bread on the side when my starter came up the goats cheese was on normal bread.
We were allocated a bedroom in the chateau area of the hotel. Parking right outside. Rooms were clean & had everything you needed. Luckily we had a river view & is was so relaxing to watch the birds, including a heron & red squirrels from the room,
Food and ambiance
Wifi slow and not easy to get taxis in the location
The grounds are impressive as is The Chateaux.
Food was of a very high standard and service great.
Nothing
Loved the restaurant, staff and dinner were both exceptional. Lovely pool. I had a nice rest, the whole place breaths calm and tranquility.
The room was nice, but above my bed was a huge spiderweb with a habitant. I'm afraid of spiders.
Absolutely beautiful château and grounds. Very friendly staff. Excellent food and wine. All appeared to be new furnishings. Beautiful pool area.
Nothing really !
The breakfast was very good. A good selection of juice and plenty of choice from cereal to fresh fruit.
Nothing it was up to its usual standard even with a full house.
Food exceptional
Carpets in accomodation wing and room needed cleaning
Location and evening meal
i asked after dinner whether breakfast was included and was told YES !! When the bill was presented it included E12 for breakfast x 2. as i was told it was included in room rate we only had a croissant and coffee so i was shocked when [presented with the bill. i complained and the manager was most unpleasant that it spoilt our stay.
Friendly staff and lovely location. A few metres from the river with lovely walks. Peaceful countryside setting. Meals served outside on the terrace in good weather and, if the weather wasn't so good, in a nicely decorated dining room, were a very pleasant experience.
The main house is partly a business meeting room complex, so a mix of business people and tourists some days. The pool is rather small and in need of some care and attention, and it's location in a position exposed to everyone using the hotel might not be to everyone's taste.
Our room was in the main house. A little disappointing, slightly grubby carpet, discarded cigarette butt's in the gravel outside of the door, and with decor and fittings more suited to a modern budget hotel. Not really the " Château experience " we had hoped for.
Breakfast really great and the location was fantastic in the countryside. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at in France.
No issues whatsoever.
Amazing location, staff are very friendly and helpful. Food was amazing and the room was spacious and clean.
If I have to say anything, no tissues in the room
