We stayed at this location for one night located a few miles outside of town. The bedroom was very simple but clean, came with a firm bed and two flat pillows (this is probably one thing they can invest in) and no mini fridge. There was a balcony with two chairs and a great view. Montepulciano is a beautiful town and is worth to visit. We had the breakfast included where you can chose from a menu the night before. The breakfast was great with tables that had enough space between the customers. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend this hotel for your stay.

O hotel fica fora do centro em um local calmo e aprazível, com vista para o campo, longe do burburinho da cidade.
Acomodação simples. Quarto amplo e arejado, banheiro limpo com um box pequeno para os padrões brasileiros.
O ponto alto do local é a simpatia do Cláudio e o café da manhã customizado, delicioso e farto, com o melhor macchiato da toscana!!!

Stop over destination for us but very centrally located. Pretty old decor but the views are amazing

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Sangallo after booking a very last minute trip. We were given a lovely warm welcome even though we arrived late evening, and shown to our room (10) which was spacious with a little balcony and beautiful views over the valley. Other reviews have said the hotel is dated - and it is a little, but I hate plastic modern boxes (and so not Tuscany!) so for us it added to the charm. Everything was very clean - fresh bedding and towels every day, and everything functioned as it should. We found the bed a little hard, but generally when staying in Italy this is the case and is just personal preference. There was plenty of free parking, and a great breakfast every day showcasing local produce (charcuterie and pecorino di pienza for example), with some delicious home made cakes to accompany the fresh bread, fruit, yoghurts, eggs etc. Fresh coffee from an extensive menu was also on offer. The hotel is ideally situated in S Albino, close to Chianciano and Montepulciano, as a base to visit all the best things Tuscany and beyond have to offer - but you will need a car to do this. We visited Siena, Florence, Maranello, Montepulciano, Rome and Monte Argentario, so definitely got around a bit! The local pizzeria was good too (Tre Specci) and we ate dinner there three times.
I can recommend this hotel for if you are looking for a friendly, traditional, spacious base with charming, helpful hosts for your trip. We had a lovely holiday.

L'albergo è senza pretese, come normale per un 2 stelle. ma molto pulito e accogliente. Anche il personale è molto gentile

the owner was great the breakfast unlike most of Italy included Italian ham, cheese, ect It was great. Just an overall great experience at a reasonable price. Yes the place is a bit dated and not 4 star, but it is a great place for money. And the Pizza resturant that is 70 yards away (on the main road is fantastic. We had bean soup, grilled veggies, chicken salad; terrific and a short walk.

It was an overnight stay just me and my teenagers. The room where we stayed has a nice Tuscany view. The pizzeria around the corner has good and delicious menu. Breakfast was above average, they have a big caffe Americano. Wi-Fi was poor and spotty, unless you are in the lobby.

This hotel has nice view of the plain of Tuscani. You have free breakfast, too. Hotel master and his family were very helpful. Had amazing memories here, enjoyed a lot. I recommend here. :)

Hotel muito simples, situado longe da cidade mas em área aprazível. Muitas escadas e sem elevador, café-da-manhã simples, quarto simples e box do chuveiro extremamente reduzido, difícil de ser usado. Só uma pessoa (parece ser o dono) atende a tudo e, por isso, difícil de ser achado dentro do hotel. Pela madrugada a esposa de um dos nossos amigos passou mal e teve de ser levada a um pronto-socorro: não havia qualquer ajuda disponível - do hotel, de emergência, etc.. Tivemos de levá-la em nosso carro e descobrir onde era o pronto-socorro. Destaque: o dono subiu e desceu com todas as malas para o carro.

What a lovely hotel, we stayed for just one night on way home.
Very accommodating staff, happy to answer any questions about the beautiful town of Montepulciano.
My Italian isn't fantastic but the man tried to communicate with us in English and us in Italian we got there.
It's not a five star hotel but it has character , wonderful staff, good breakfast and amazing views!

Abbiamo Soggiornato presso questo albergo per tre notti durante la nostra gita in Val D'orcia. La struttura è un pò vecchiotta ed a gestione familiare, ma nel complesso non è male. Le camere sono molto pulite sebbene gli arredi siano essenziali. La camera da noi prenotata non disponeva di aria condizionata, ma volendo era possibile fare l'upgrade ad un livello superiore con A/C, in realtà nonostante di giorno si toccassero i 30° di sera le camera era molto fresca quindi non penso sia necessaria l'aria condizionata anche nei periodi più caldi. La colazione la mattina molto buona con mediamente tre crostate fatte in casa, qualche affettato cereali e cornetti (i cornetti un paio di giorni erano bruciati sul fondo). All'esterno della struttura ci sono parcheggi liberi dove lasciare l'auto. Nell'arco di massimo 30 minuti è possibile raggiungere tutte le maggiori mete turistiche (Pienza Montalcino, Bagni vignogni, bagni san filippo ecc). Se non avete particolari pretese e cercate un punto di appoggio per visitare la val d'Orcia questo posto fa per voi

We stayed in this family-run hotel 3 nights, the price certainly being cheaper than anything inside the walls, or atop the hill, of Montepulciano. Few cars in parking lot indicated not many people were staying here. We had some problems with hot water, even taking a cold shower one day. With assigned tables for dining, we noted our soiled napkins from last night’s dinner were waiting for us at breakfast. The morning buffet was not impressive, just adequate and filling. Rooms were big and comfortable. if dated. Some good views from hotel. The place is close enough to many hilltop villages for day trips. It earns its 2 stars. And that is what one has to remember when staying here at bargain rates. Recommend staying here and eating somewhere else.

Personale gentilissimo, pulizia ottima , servizio adeguato al costo del soggiorno. Colazione ottima con dolci casalinghi e freschissimi ( eccezionale la torta della nonna con crema pasticcera e pinoli) e soprattutto alla richiesta di un cappuccino mi é stato portato un vero cappuccino e non quel tipico caffelatte di orzo degli hotel!

Hotel tranquillo, pulito, cordialità da suggerire per soggiorni; ottima colazione con dolci fatti in casa.
