Lovely hotel in a good location
Pros:

We really enjoyed our stay in Hotel Alegria. The room was spacious and clean, bed was comfortable, and the staff were very friendly.
The hotel is well situated, a short walk to the metro with easy access to the airport, and within walking distance of the castle and all major parts of the city. There are some nice restaurants close by too! Highly recommend for any stay in Lisbon, you’ll be in good hands!

We throughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.
Pros:

The room was spotless, nicely decorated and comfortable. The hotel is in the perfect location in close proximity to many of the tourist attractions.

Cons:

The breakfast was limited but the food was good.

Pros:

O ponto alto é o excelente quarto! Espaçoso, bem decorado e muito confortável. A localização também é ótima. O hotel fica bem próximo da bela Avenida da Liberdade e das regiões do Príncipe Real e Chiado. O hotel também se esforçou para atender nosso pedido de early check-in, o que nos ajudou muito.

Viihtyisä rauhallinen hotelli pienen puiston vieressä keskustassa. Huoneessa lautalattia. Todella hyvä aamiainen. Kentältä suora yhteys bussilla. Metrokin lähellä.

Very central location. Helpful staff. Good breakfast.

Cons:

There was a particular smell in the rooms - maybe it’s a room freshener but I didn’t like it. Opening the window didn’t help either. The building is historic so the room was quite small too.

Pros:

Great facade on the square in terrific location. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Cons:

The room was small and dark and expensive compared to a similar hotel we stayed at earlier in our trip.

I was very pleased with my stay at the Alegria. It felt like a charming piece of Lisbon history.
Pros:

The hotel was very charming and the location was perfect. It was centrally located but not busy or loud.

Cons:

We did not get a remodeled room as described on the website but it was still very charming. The bar and food staff was a bit reserved when it came to service in the evening. I had to come looking for them every time I needed anything.
