Localização

One of our favourite accommodations on our trip through Portugal, this small hotel is historic and charming. The staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. We enjoyed the casual atmosphere. You could order drinks or food (which was delicious - try the warm cheese and local bread) and have it delivered in one of the inviting common areas on the main level, or out on the lovely patio. The hotel is located within the ancient city walls of Evora so there are no views to speak of. But a great location, easily walkable everywhere around the town. Parking is limited so book early. We had to park on the street which the hotel still charges for because I guess it’s reserved exclusively for their use. The included breakfast was one of the best we experienced - lots of variety and everything was delicious. We would highly recommend Albergaria do Calvario.

Lovely comfortable hotel just as others have described - with excellent aircon, comfortable beds and large simple rooms, stylish common parts , lovely staff and excellent breakfasts- especially the made to measure omelettes!

Very good accommodation, good location, nice rooms, good breakfast with plenty of choice and eggs to order and very friendly and helpful staff.

Very easy access if you are driving (no narrow roads though the underground parking area might be tight depending on your driving skill and the size of your vehicle). Quiet, comfortable, large room (but we could hear noise from the hallway when nearby rooms were coming and going)
Cold breakfast buffet plus eggs to order and bacon.
Evora is interesting and it is easy to walk to everything. Good wine in the area and this is the prime cork producing area of Portugal so you can learn about that too.
Wifi is strong
If you are interested in local tours (cork factory for example), there were brochures in the lobby so the hotel could probably make a recommendation.
There is an elevator but some rooms are a ½ level above. If no stairs is important to you let the hotel know when you make your reservation.

We had a short trip in evora and this hotel was great. The staff were wonderful and attentive. The location is fantastic. Would stay again.

From check-in to check-out everything at this hotel was perfect. Our room was clean, quiet, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom spacious. The location was walking distance from all of the town's sights and sounds. But, what really impressed us was the amazing breakfast! A wonderful cold buffet, with hot dishes made-to-order. Various coffees, fresh fruit, meats and cheeses, breads and cakes, eggs, pancakes ... something delicious for everyone. One of our favorite stays (if not the favorite stay) of our trip to Portugal.
