Not advisable.
Pros:

Hotel staffs are very helpful, always ready to give assistance but the hotel itself is not advisable. The deluxe room smells toilet, cleaning service is bad and very slow. There’s no telephone in room, from 6th floor each time we needed to go down to ask for something. Hotel driver is not professional, they broke our luggage’s wheel. Room was too small for 2 pax.

You get what you pay for.
Pros:

Affordable stay. Pictures is different from reality. I requested ahead of time for a room with nice view (maybe upper floors) and they said okay but when I came, they gave me room in first floor (room 102) and the view was people eating from the restaurant nearby. The light was flickering in the room, shower is working but needed a repair. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper as it is a busy and noisy area. Breakfast is simple but good. Staff are nice and accommodating. I am wondering though why they changed my booking in booking.com as "cancelled" instead of "completed." This place is good if you are staying for only a night or 2.

Short vacation
Pros:

More than 10 times I visited Istanbul chose this hotel and I do not wish to change it, for several reasons. First, the staff perform the service with no fatigue, humble human friends who care about the comfort of guests. Secondly, its location is close to all historical and archeological places, markets and tramway. I love them all, the summit of humanity and sophistication.

Quite small.
Pros:

I opted for tgis hot3l as ut seemed within buget. But it wasnt very clear in the pocs that it was quite small toilet was tiny. Cleanloness wise it was good. Cleaned regularly. Breakfast was very simple. Just bread and butter honey sachets etc.no pastry no other sweets. And fruit was just a plate of watermelon. Sad thing was the kitchen lady sat in the room eting pastries herself...

Great Staff and Value!
Pros:

If you are looking for a fancy hotel, this isn't it. BUT if you'd rather save money for restaurants, souvenirs, and traveling within Turkey, this is a good place to stay. I stayed there with my family for three weeks. The staff, especially Abdul-Rahman, were very friendly and helpful. Abdul-Rahman spoke English very well, which was a big plus for the hotel. He was always trying to help and worked hard to make sure all the guests stayed happy.

To be honest, I first thought he was the manager, because he seemed on top of all the problems we came to him with (new towels, fixing the bathroom/fridge, etc). In my opinion, he should get a raise and a promotion because he really made up for all the issues we had with the hotel itself, and is a major asset for whoever owns it. I'll definitely be back because Dedem provides a good value as a place to sleep while having adventures during the day.

Horrible hotel, with bugs allover!!!!!!
Pros:

Hello!
I stayed in this hotel 3 nights.
It's a filthy hotel , with bugs everywhere!!!
The kitchen where breakfast is prepaired is full of dirt, ingredients are kept on the floor, they use dirty knifes to cut !!!!!
Bottled water they put on table for breakfast , is on the floor, in boxes where you can see bugs!!!

Pros:

Have stayed at many hotels in Istanbul in my last few years. This has been the worst one. Though it is cheap and very close to all historic places but staying here is more of a health and safety issue. Wires hanging from the walls, toilet and basin sink is moving, water dripping from the sink pipes, wall papers are pealing off and dirty bed sheets

Outside street is very noisy and even inside the hotel can hear everything which is going on outside the room.

Better to spend few extra quids and be safe specially with the kids its a big no no

BAD MANNERED DAYTIME RECEPTION...
Pros:

We've made the reservation 2 months earlier. Upon check-in on the day we shown up at the property, the daytime receptionist is so rude in treating the guests. As we reminded him of our requested individual 3 beds and location of room in a higher floor (as mentioned in our advance booklng reservation) he started to show his rudeness and insists to place us in 1st floor. He even dare us to cancel the reservation. At the end, we ended up cancelling it and look for a much more better hotel. BE CAREFUL .....

Great stay
Pros:

No complaints. This is a clean, budget hotel in a fantastic location. Room was large enough, bathroom was small. The breakfast was included, nothing fantastic but served its purpose. I would stay again.

Budget hotel close to Sutanahmet
Pros:

We travelled to the hotel from the airport by metro and tram. This hotel was ideal being 5 min walk from the Cemberlitas tube station. Sultanahmet Square with it's Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia are 15 min walk away. There are many restaurants nearby making this a perfect location. The hotel itself is in a quiet road that is approached by quite a steep hill down from Cemberlitas. The rooms and complimentary breakfast are quite basic but for price and location this is an excellent choice

Appalling:(
Pros:

We stayed here for a week in 301 for one week in September.

Breakfast area was very dated, not much of a view, damp patches on ceiling, dirty table covers. The Breakfast was very very basic & consisted of hard bread; very dry pink watermelon, (sometimes hard boiled eggs) tomatoes cucumbers 2 types of cheese; salami, selection of jams, juice; machine coffee, turkish coffee olives & 2 types of cereal. The cleanliness was a lot to be desired of, & none of the food was covered either which put me off.

Our room was a quad room, wardrobe, mirrors & window overlooking some sort of metalwork establishment (there were men using soldering equipment opposite) we had an old unit air con in the room; but after 2 days i ended up with a sore throat; & severe cough & i wasnt sure if it was dust/germs blowing out of the air con? & opening the window resulted in the poluted air making me cough badly & both of us eventually ended up with a really bad chest & i unable to sleep. It was 2 warm not 2 have any air in the room & i ended up being bitten by mosquitoes. In the end i decided 2 leave early & book anotha room as i was exhausted with not sleeping & being bitten.

I spoke 2 our receptionist Yohan about my concerns who was really really nice about it & he did offer to look in the room etc 2 see if he could sort something; but i told him i couldnt stay anotha day.

Bathroom - seriously needs redoing. There was sealant evident everywhere that was loose; & a black/brown colour. The toilet sealant was so disgusting, when you sat on the loo you could feel it move & im hardly obese! There was a funny damp smell in there too!

Cleaning - sheets were supposedly meant to be changed every 2 days, however i noticed this didnt happen & even resorted to stripping the bed myself & left a note when i came out in red lumps. I also found a few dead mosquitoes behind 1 of the beds. The miniature shower gels etc were topped up for 2 days but not after that.

This hotel is in a great location close to the blue mosque; ayah sophia, bazaars & lots of decent eateries. There is wifi on every floor a shame this hotel wasnt upto the standard i expected. I took ages booking a hotel 4 my trip & i neva read any bad reviews prior to my stay which is why i had booked it & its dissapointing 2 be writing this.

There were only few channels working on the tv too.

Little touches would make this place great, fruits & yoghurts etc are inexpensive & would have been great 4 breakfast, i only went 2 times & literally had a coffee which wasnt great either. New bedding; towels are also needed in this hotel.

Yohan & Erdan (receptionists) were really helpful & courteous during our visit.

I personally wouldnt stay here again as i ended up with a severe chest infection & on antibiotics & what was meant to be a relaxing holiday made me ill.

Please be wary if you have young kids or travelling with elderly, i did mention to Yorhan that the room needed looking in2, as there was obviously a harmful pollution issue going on. The walls are paper thin & i did hear the lady next door coughing violently2 one night.
