Erg fijn verblijf!
Pros:

Prachtig authentiek familie hotel! Het ademt sfeer en klasse. En dat al 12 generaties lang. Een genot om daar een paar dagen deelgenoot van te zijn. Heerlijke kamer, fijn zwembad, top restaurant (kok) en geweldig ontbijt.

Cons:

Veel oud(ere) mensen in het hotel (vaak vaste klanten) die vrij snel last hadden van kinderen. Of ze nu speelden, lachtenen of wat geluid maakten tijdens het zwemmen. Het leek alsof die mensen vergeten waren dat ze zelf ook ooit kleine kinderen hebben gehad en dat kinderen nu eenmaal een beetje geluid maken in zo’n heerlijk zwembad. Dat was wel jammer.

Best Hotel to stay in when in or around Merano
Pros:

Beautiful decorated hotel with great amenities (indoor/outdoor pool). Lovely staff, great breakfast selection and super clean

I cannot express enough the attention to detail this property executes to each guest! The staff strives to know you, check with you, & strive to do whatever they can for you. Not just once but every day. At least one of the owners are there every day, all day! They are truly passionate for what they do!
The most senior of ownership onsite explained he is the 11th generation, & the 12th, & I believe the 13th generations are also working to make this operation work flawlessly! After 530 years it is Very Obvious they love what they do!
Everything is First Class. Everything! This is seriously one of the best if not The Best run Hotels in the World that I ever experienced.
The Restaurant is really on point. Wine list is unbelievable! We tend to try to drink local wines when in such fantastic growing regions, but their cellar has them all covered no matter your taste. The local whites are amazing here! Food is all locally sourced and they list where most is sourced from on the back of the menu. Every meal we had was Fantastic! Including the breakfast included. Rooms were clean, & comfortable!
Italy is always hard to leave, but this Hotel was the hardest I can remember to in fact leave. I honestly hope to one day return to The Hotel Oberwirt. This is No BS a place you want to experience! It’s a place I will Never Forget!

We had an absolutely delightful stay at this hotel! The facilities were top-notch, offering both outdoor and indoor pools that were impeccably clean and inviting. The staff truly went above and beyond, always friendly and eager to help, making us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived.

Our room was spacious and comfortable, made even better by a complimentary upgrade. The highlight of our mornings was the breakfast – it was simply perfect. The selection of fresh juices, meats, cheeses, and pastries was exceptional, making each day feel like a special occasion.

Overall, this hotel stands out for its unique charm and the way it made us feel truly special.

Cadre reposant et très bien tenu, chambres et lieux communs de l'hôtel très propres et confortables, service attentif et courtois (plus particulièrement venant de la part des jeunes serveuses et serveurs), maîtresse des lieux présente et à l'écoute, perpétuant la longue tradition d'hospitalité du lieu et de sa famille, cuisine exquise, grande attention aux détails. Welcoming hotel above Merano
Pros:

I have never met such a naturally friendly staff. From reception to restaurant all of them were very friendly, welcoming and kind. They made me feel welcome from the minute I arrived.

Cons:

I was disturbed by charging EUR 3,50 for 1 l of tap water at a meal that cost EUR 60+ per person. It seemed cheap. The restaurant also does not have any vegan options yet. This doesn’t align with the quality of the house.

Difficult to fault. We'll be back
Pros:

Excellent in every way. Well trained, pleasant and efficient staff who clearly take their lead from the owner, who could not have been more attentive. Everything of the highest quality. We were demi-pension with a limited menu for dinner ... but, still lovely choices, beautifully cooked.

Cons:

My wife and I didn't particularly like the smoked salmon which was rather too salty and "fishy" for our taste, but that's probably just personal preference.
