This was a family holiday and our first time at the Globales Parma nova, A massive thank you to the animation team for their hard work and enthusiasm. My son Harrison didn’t want to leave! The hotel was very clean and we didn’t have a problem checking in or out. There was a good variety of food for everyone during our stay. The location was fantastic as Glof Fantasia was right next door and it was a five minute walk to the beach. There was plenty of evening entertainment, remember this is an all inclusive. We didn’t use the VIP/adults only because we had our son with us but it looked amazing. Overall, this was a lovely holiday and we would definitely return.
Thank you for a lovely holiday. :-)
Todo
Nada
Not 4 star .. overall the hotel was ok but it definitely is not 4 star. Arrived to find room not ready ( ok I can accept that as check in was from 3 pm). Lift was painfully slow so we ended up lugging 2 heavy suit cases up to the 3rd floor. The room was nice but on closer inspection still dirty I ended up cleaning tea stains off the wall myself which then ment I went and wiped other surfaces down. The cleaning did improve over the week. We realised that night the walls between rooms were paper thin. We were next to a young family whose youngest ( about 3) was screaming the place down most nights at 3am!! I am a Nan so I don’t mind kids but this was a joke I realise kids on holiday can be difficult but every night and the parents didn’t seem to be bothered about it.. this is not something I wanted to hear… lesson learnt will be going adults only next time… The food was normal all inclusive type so I would say it was acceptable. But the dinning room is more like a cafeteria and really nosey with tables to close. We had the VIP upgrade which was worth it as it was adults only. Palma Nova is a nice resort and I would recommend using public transport to go into palma and other destinations on the island..but if u want a peaceful break don’t stay here.. but I suppose if u have a young family it’s ideal
This hotel is in a great location and very reasonably priced. The majority of the staff are very friendly and accommodating.
The pool area is good with plenty of beds available, albeit we were there early in the season. The rooms are a decent size and were clean when we arrived, although the cleaning throughout the time there was less than adequate, a quick change of towels - one of which was heavily soiled when we came back, make the beds and a wipe of the sink seemed to be all that was done for the week.
There's a few slight negatives that we were already aware of prior to arriving; the walls are indeed paper-thin, more so than I could have imagined - listening to people singing, blasting music, and having sex at 2am on the first night was night ideal. The lifts really are as small and slow as in previous reviews, for the size of hotel they absolutely need upgrading as you can stand there for 10 minutes plus waiting for a lift to be empty enough to get into. The queues for drinks at the pool bar can be long due to the token system in place to reduce plastic wastage. We completely agree with the system and commend the hotel for trying to reduce wastage but the system could do with tweaking to reduce wait times.
The big issue for our stay was, unfortunately, in the restaurant. For the most part, there was a decent selection of different foods and a good sized room that was only once full where we had to wait a few minutes to get into. A lot of the food was a decent standard but they often struggled with the basics, pasta being extremely undercooked and still crunchy one evening for example. The big concern, which left me personally struggling to go back and eat from the hotel was a few nights in. I went to get some potatoes from the buffet when I noticed a cockroach crawling into the potatoes, it quickly settled, assuringly dead. I went over and told the chef (Jose) who was on the hot plates, he came over and seen and his response was that the food in the dish around the cockroach would be perfectly fine to eat - not that he knew what it had or had not touched and also an appalling response. He continued to tell me that the food was okay and encouraged me to take some, which I refused, he walked away muttering something about scooping it out - I think. I went back about 10 minutes later, there was less potato but the cockroach was still there so I went and found the manager on the front door, who I have to admit, had been amazing for the full stay, and brought him over. The cockroach had disappeared in the minute or so between me seeing it and speaking with him, I can only assume someone unknowingly scooped it onto their plate. He was shocked and said he would get the food changed, which was quickly done and should have been the initial response of the chef. For a chef to think it is acceptable to say to eat around a cockroach sat in amongst food and then just leave it there is disgusting and shows a complete lack of care to the health and wellbeing of the guests. I have worked in hospitality previously and, personally, I do not think that someone with that attitude should be working with food. Sadly, despite the many positives this hotel offers, I would never step foot in their again due to this issue.
Cockroaches🤢 avoid!
Not the vibe.
We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights in March.
Ideally located on the edge of town but within distance of the beach and main shops/bars.
The hotel was clean and the staff all appeared efficient and pleasant.
The food was a bit repetitive but the quality was ok, however the wine available was absolute rubbish. To call the dining room a restaurant was unrealistic, it is more like a cafeteria with tables crammed in and it was always busy.
The pool area was clean and you could always get a sunbed but there did appear to be a few sunbeds in need of repair.
The snack bar staff were very efficient serving drinks and despite a que forming the wait for a drink was always minimal. The quality of the local drinks available were acceptable. However, the cold food at the snack bar was open to the birds to feed on, very unhygienic, this was not helped by some guests electing to feed the seagulls.
The hotel was very noisy with very poor sound insulation throughout. Noise from the public areas and entertainment area transmitted up the stair well and there was a lot of noise from adjoining rooms.
The cost of a room safe was 41 Euros for 7 nights- ridicules
Hard to see how this could be classed as 4 star, but that appears to be the norm across the Balearics and Canaries.
Llits incomodos, habitació estreta, molt de soroll entre habitacions, el servei de neteja el dematí de prest ja realitzava la seva tasca amb molt de soroll molest, poca varietat en les menjades.
Clean tidy & modern.
Food was hot & a good variety.
Drinks as expected for All inclusive. But good.
Me and my girlfriend along with 2 of our friends stayed here for my 24th birthday for a week.
It wasnt our original hotel (other Globales hotel we had booked was still closed for the season) but i was pleasantly surprised by the hotel.
It was very clean and modern, the staff were all amazing.
We did have a little trouble with another guest while by the pool. He wasnt very happy with my transgender girlfriend using the single occupancy womens toilet (which was only occupied by our friend) and was very threatening and agressive towards us. Other guests were very supportive and kind but it still shook my girlfriend for the day.
After reporting this to the manager, he was later that day removed due to their 0 tolerance policy for aggression and discrimination. The manager handled the situation amazingly and she clearly didnt take being talked down to by the guest.
I would have liked some more options for food, other hotels ive stayed at just have more. The drinks were great. I would have loved some music by the pool but maybe its played in the summer.
Overall our holiday was pretty good, always love the palma nova location, and actually went sightseeing this time.
This was our 3rd stay at the hotel. We go for st Patrick’s day in Santa ponsa and Palma nova. The hotel is spotless clean. The food isn’t always to my taste, however there is a HUGE selection and you definitely won’t starve. The beach is only a five minute walk out the back gate. We enjoyed it so much this time that we have booked a long weekend on 10th of next month for my partners 60th birthday. Can’t wait 😁😁
Overall a good experience however I wouldn’t say 4 star, I would stay again but bring my own entertainment for night (cards etc) and ear plugs. Typical brits abroad holiday so if that’s not what you’re looking for I’d avoid. I’ll start with the cons then move to the pros as like I said it was a good experience overall just some nit picky bits.
Cons:
Noise
The walls are so thin that you can hear the person next to your rooms television, conversation, sliding of the wardrobe etc. I was woken up nearly every morning by people talking and someone’s child shouting and screaming in the hallway waiting for the lift (we were at the opposite end of the hallway to said lift). We were also conscious that our alarm going off at 6am on the last day would wake our neighbours.
The lift situation
There are only 2 tiny lifts for the whole hotel. We were on floor 7 so it would be impractical to walk up 9 flights of stairs multiple times a day (the pool and restaurant are on level -1). They also only take 3 people at a maximum, or 2 people with suitcases. Any more than that and it won’t move.
Entertainment
I’m not sure if this is a con because we did come in the off season but there wasn’t any entertainment apart from a kids disco 8:30pm and bingo at 9:30pm. There was however daytime activities and the animation team are great.
Bed
The bed sheets weren’t the normal cotton sheet you’d expect to find in Spain. It was more of a polyester really thin quilt. However the bed was comfy overall, (when I could sleep from the noise of my neighbours 😂).
Pros:
Location
The hotel is a 2 minute walk from all the restaurants and beach, and I imagine in season it would be very lively in the town. There’s some really nice restaurants and shops nearby too if you get a bit bored of the food in the hotel.
Room
The view from our room was amazing, we paid extra for a sea view and the only thing that would put me off again would be the lift situation.
All inclusive
Our all inclusive add on was only £44pp so we weren’t expecting amazing things. However !!! The choice every night was something different, all the salads were fresh, the drinks machine with fizzy pop, beer, and wine was great. The snack bar during the day was always filled up but not well covered from birds so they were always at the desserts and salad. During the day hotel works on a token system so you receive one token each and trade it for a cup, you then take the cup back each time you want a drink. However at night it’s glasses and more like a traditional all inclusive. My only suggestion would be to go early as it gets really busy and a bit picked over at meal times.
Extras
The tourist tax was less than €12 for 7 nights.
The shower was amazing and the towels really good quality. Pool towels are a €10 refundable deposit.
Staff are really friendly.
Excellent stay. 2nd time to this hotel. Waiters remembered us from last year which was nice. Food good variety, beware around the pool during the day if you get food from the snack bar seagulls will get your food. Pool area clean. Can't reserve sunbeds until 10am. Room cleaned daily and immaculate. Overall a fantastic stay at this lovely hotel
Lovely staff , great food, entertainment staff brilliant. Location good. Beds could do with better mattresses was the only negative
We have stayed at this hotel before so realise it can be a bit noisy with the walls being thin. Last year when we stayed we had a lovely time so thought we would book again for our wedding anniversary. First night around 1am we were woken up by someone vomiting outside our door then we heard them again vomit in their room next door. Next morning the couple on the other side warned us to be careful when leaving our room as the vomit was all in our door way and under the threshold. We reported it to reception and requested it be cleaned up immediately. They said it would be cleaned that morning. When we came back from breakfast an hour later it had been cleaned somewhat but remnants still remained. We again reported back to reception that it needed a more thorough clean. All we ever saw was a mop and bucket of water, so not convinced how hygienically they had cleaned it so we purchased an antibacterial spray and kitchen roll and cleaned it.
That afternoon we were sitting on our balcony when a group of men who had just checked in next to us (3 rooms together) came out onto their balcony started talking about what they were going to be doing and talking inappropriatly about women in general. I got up and quietly said to the group “please remember there are other people on their balcony’s” They then quietened down.
2nd night we were again woken around 1am by tremendous shouting from the room on the other side of ours where i had spoken to them earlier about inappropriate language. They were very drunk swearing and threatening to first throw a table over the balcony and then one of them started singing spider man song threatening to walk along the outside of the balconies, we were 3 floors up. Again reported to reception they sent someone up but woman across they way went into their room and told them in no uncertain terms to quieten down!
In the morning we spoke to reception (again) they offered to move us I refused and said move the noisy rooms as the rest of the corridor were happy to stay put. We were only stopping 4 nights so didn’t want to waste a morning packing and un packing. Seemed unfair by the hotel to move us all and inconvenience us but not the ones causing the problem. Jet2 rep was of the same mindset it was us all that had to move!
Day of departure sitting outside waiting for taxi and middle aged guy came onto his balcony grabbed his crotch and shouted abuse at me! What was going on in that hotel that week I don’t know. Cheltenham horse racing was on that week apparently that is a thing now they go to Spain instead of Cheltenham as it’s cheaper and sunnier and some of the bars show it.
The food was good, usual mix you get in hotels nowadays we enjoyed it.
Beds are very comfortable nice and firm. Hotel rooms are very Premier Inn in UK. comfy but nothing special. Safes are expensive to hire €47 for 4 nights poss get €10 back as deposit?
Swimming pool is unheated so not many in there when we stayed.
No birds on food this time in outside kitchen, looks like the hotel has taken measures to deter the sparrows.
It would be a good idea if all the large groups were kept in one part of the hotel away from families and those wanting a full nights sleep and slightly quieter holiday but unfortunately the hotel and Jet2 don’t agree.
Really great hotel and facilities.
We have an 18 month old and the kids club and mini disco were amazing. Iraida and the rest of the team was so good with our son. Highly recommend and would definitely return in the future.
Location perfect, Atmosphere decent met some friendly people, Room very clean and comfortable the only downside of our room was the fact we were on top floor overlooking a very busy and noisy road, there is only 2 small lifts for over 700 rooms, we went all inclusive and we personally found the food cold, repetitive, and very Bland chips breakfast dinner and tea so we ate out a few times but I suppose if you're used to eating boring food you'll be happy, as for the snack bar outside it was a free for all for the birds quite happily helping themselves to food that was ment to for guests on one occasion a woman walked round the pool with a plate of food and was dive bombed by seagulls for her food I realise they can't stop the birds flying but they need someway to keep of the food.
All in all we had a lovely holiday it was just food thing for us
Great place to stay, staff are great and helpful.athe rooms are cleanded every day bedding is changed every day unless place the sign provided saying not to change the bedding, towels are chaged daily
Food is of a very good standard with a choice to suit everyone,if you are all incluesive there is a buffet style snack bar next to the pool bar. There is various thing for children and adults during the day,in the evening .games and musicfor kid folloed by an artist about 10:00pm
There are are bars and resturants with in a very short walk the beach there is a back gate to the beach.
The hotel is a short walk to the bus stop that take you to Palma and from there you can get a bus to a y part of the island a great hotel with a lot going on to suit all .
We will be comming back again
Amazing food choices, fantastic room and service all round, hotel staff very friendly and helpful
