Not appropriate for families
Pros:

Would not recommend the family suite (the room in the turret) - there is no aircon in the bedrooms and the space is oppressive and really dangerous for kids: there is a floor level window with no ability to lock it and a sheer drop on the other side. Totally inappropriate to our families with small children in this room. We asked to swap rooms but they could not accommodate - even though the property was definitely not at capacity. Breakfast was really disappointing; especially as this was an extra charge. Bland cereal, limited fruit and slices of cheese - no offer of coffee at the table - just a machine that didn’t work. Not good at all. Asked for a late checkout as none of us had slept properly owing to the lack of aircon in bedrooms (despite the room being advertised as having aircon) - and they refused; again - despite the check in time not being until 5pm… so even if they’d let us stay until 1pm they would have still had 4 hours to clean the room. Then when I checked out the hotel tried to charge me for the room again, despite already paying on hotels.com - but she couldn’t find my confirmation on her emails. Weird and frustrating all round. She did offer 100eur off due to the lack of advertised aircon - but this didn’t really make up for the experience. The food at dinner was really lovely though and I can imagine this would be a nice place for couples or solo travellers. But a disappointing stay for us.

Un cadre charmant à la campagne
Pros:

Un cadre charmant pour un moment détente à la campagne. La piscine avec vue sur les vignes est magnifique quand au restaurant c’était un délice. Le personnel est au petit soin.
Un super séjour très reposant. Les chambres sont spacieuses et la bouteille de vin comme cadeau de bienvenu était fort sympathique.

Chateau de Salettes
Pros:

Vi unnade oss en natt på detta hotell som låg mitt i ett underbart kulligt landskap i sitt eget vindistrikt, Salettes. Vyn från rummet och poolen var sammet för själen och vattnet i poolen var uppvärmt till 25 grader, nu i slutet på maj.

Middagen utomhus intogs intill vinsluttningarna.
Rekommenderas som en lyxig upplevelse.
