The staff was amazingly helpful. The included breakfast was a highlight.
The low water pressure in the bathroom was a disappointment.
Quiet place, not far from the center (1 km from York Minster). Comfortable bed. Polite staff.
1, The fact that there weren't at all toiletries in the bathroom with the excuse of eliminating the plastics! Of course, they said we could ask them for free from the staff (at least they didn't say we had to beg for them!). There wasn't even a glass or something in the bathroom to put our toothbrushes.
2, On checking in we were asked to present our credit card for verification. Usually, it is charged at £0,01 which is automatically returned after a couple of minutes. This time the purchase was £1 and two days later it wasn't returned to my card (I hope it will).
3, Breakfast was rather good but the lack of fruits disappointed us while the machine's coffee was bad (cappuccino was a disaster!). However, our omelets were good and the staff very polite.
The location is great and the staff are excellent and friendly.
The shower was very small. My husband is 6ft 2” and barely fit in it.

B+B York is in an excellent location on a quiet street around 15 minutes walk to the City centre. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly and helpful. We were able to leave our bags safely before check in and go exploring. The same after we checked out so we didn't have to have them with us all day. Room and bed were comfortable. With good sized shower. Breakfast was tasty and with plenty of options including a good quality coffee machine. We both enjoyed our full English with toast and yoghurt.
Really not much to complain about. A little noise in corridor but didn't effect our nights sleep. Small amount of dust in room.

Location and the staff were excellent. We were upgraded to the executive suite, which enhanced our stay as well. Breakfast was simple but good. Electric car charging facilities were very useful as well. Shout out to the lady with the red hair who called me 'sweetheart,' 'love,' and 'darling' in the space of two sentences. Yorkshire charm and welcome!
The decor is a bit dated and could do with a refresh. Some fruit or a bit more exciting breakfast options could help it, too. Missing a little bit of personality somehow, but that's only if I'm going to be nitpicking. Only major issue is the parking costs feels very high. Other than that, would definitely come back.

Great location on a quiet residential street with an easy walk into town. Tasty breakfast (good gf option) and friendly staff. Good quality curtains plus a blind in the bedroom blocked out daylight well. Bed was comfy. Good parking with two EV charging ports. Generous option to park from 11am - 11am (note £15 per night charge).
The claimed commitment to reduce single use plastic was spurious given that there was still a lot of single use plastic in use - bathrooms could have refillable pump action shower gel and shampoo. The duvet was a bit small and the cover was split on both sides. Yorkshire tea in the room (great) but would have liked a few more options e.g. peppermint and maybe a packet of biscuits.
