Hotel that used to be good is turning to worse
Pros:

The rooms in 3rd floor are terrible. They are not arranged properly. many rooms do not have office table and chair. Our room had cockroaches.

This is well known hotel in madurai. The amenities are fantastic. Easy accessible to hotel. The hotel has restaurant and they provided free breakfast fast . We had a variety of break fast options. Restaurant staffs were very polite and their hospitality is highly remarkable. Especially the chef going around each table and checking with everyone about their taste and asking for their comments about food which greatly appreciated. Reception staff are highly professional and made us to check in easily. Rooms were sparkling. Room service available 24/7

Cons:

They are reconstructing bar therefore alcoholic beverages available either in the restaurant or room service.

Neat hotel and courteous staff
Pros:

Very neat and clean hotel. Staff were very courteous and helpful. The room was also very comfortable, specially the bathroom. Floor level drain straight under show area was a great idea.

Great staff but crumbing infrastructure
Pros:

Courteous staff but crumbling infrastructure. In summer, the AC was mostly not functional in the corridors and our initial room did not have AC. The staff addressed the situtation in an exemplary manner. The swimming pool was very inviting and energizing. Recommend staying here but be aware of the potential situations that can crop up.

Great Hotel in Madurai
Pros:

Very good hotel. Wonderful service by the entire hotel, from the reception to the restaurant. Rooms were equipped with all essentials and was perfect. Thank you to the entire team for a warm birthday wishes with cake , very kind. Food is fantastic in the restaurant, do try their authentic Madurai dishes. Highly recommend for a wonderful stay in Madurai!

Good Stay , however Food needs to be improved
Pros:

My Wife and me stayed at the Regency Madurai for 2 nites .
The checkin process was easy and seamless. We had sent our id cards before hand, so that was good.
The cleanliness of the room was upto the mark. The fruits which were kept in the room were not great. We did not have it.
We asked for inroom service dinning, as we arrived quite late in the evening. There was a dieatary restriction which we follow, but we did not get what we had ordered. We also food the price to be a bit steap for a 4 star property.

In the breakfast too, we did not find a selection of fresh juices or nuts or a more variety spread. However the overall breakfast experince was good. They could do some improvements in their breakfast spread.
First Day they did meet our dietary restrictions in breakfast, however the next day of checkout the same was not adhered. We had informed also the second day however same was not communicated within the team.

Overal we had a good experince at our stay at Regency Madurai.

Perfect stay
Pros:

We had an amazing stay at regency madurai. Everything was perfect. Will surely stay here the next time I visit madurai. Highly recommend for their courteous staff, room size, breakfast variety. The location is also peaceful and not get far off from meenakshi temple.
