Great location to visit Highgrove.

Charming, clean, and relaxing stay in the Cotswolds!
Pros:

Everything was lovely! The room, breakfast, lounge, all of it was clean and the staff did an amazing job as well!

Cons:

Parking was a little confusing when we arrived but I would be worried if I moved my car and didn’t have a spot when we got back! We just kept our car on property for two days so it was fine for us.

La habitaciĂłn era espectacular, una cama muy cĂłmoda y ancha. Tanto la cena como el desayuno fueron de alta calidad. El servicio del personal genial. Tienen parking propio gratuito. Hotel ideal para pasar unos dĂ­as, y reponer energĂ­a.

A lovely, comfortable and atmospheric hotel.
Pros:

The Close Hotel was just as we remembered from about 10 years ago.
Great location, lovely garden, great service from all the staff.
The Reception rooms are beautiful to have a meal in, especially with the elegant fire blazing.
The food was very good. Breakfast excellent.
The staff were very attentive & made the whole experience memorable.

Cons:

The carpark is a bit small & a bit difficult to negotiate around if very full.

Our room The Cuckoo, although very pretty & comfortable had a massive low beam overhanging much of the room. Despite warnings to be aware its still a danger, especially at night or if you're an older person. So, the only thing that let our whole visit down.

Overnight stay to visit friends
Pros:

The rooms we booked were beautiful and everything that we wanted. The evening meal we had was absolutely superb and was just the right amount, as was the breakfast. We didn't have the full english but what we saw coming out looked like good quality. We just had the pastries etc and they were lovely.

Cons:

Nothing, apart from all the stairs after a couple too many drinks before bed! There really is nothing to complain about.

Clean, polite & efficient staff throughout.Reception staff clear & precise.Restaurant well presented, good food.

Cons:

Would of liked the room to be more spacious.
Advising the hotel that I would like champagne on arrival to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, I would have preferred the hotel to quote me a price as opposed to just providing it.

Pros:

Das Close ist ein zentral gelegenes, fast 500 Jahre altes, historisches Herrenhaus aus grauem Cotswold-Stein mit viktorianischen und georgianischen Elementen sowie einem ummauerten, parkähnlichen Garten. Das Hotel hat eine hervorragende Ausstattung und eine ausgezeichnete Gastronomie. Es war ein ganz besonderes Erlebnis.

Cons:

Ich erwarte von einem Hotel dieser Kategorie als Standard, dass die von Booking.com ĂĽbermittelten Stammdaten im digitalen Meldeschein bereits vorausgefĂĽllt sind und der Gast nicht alle Daten mĂĽhsam auf einem winzigen Tablet selbst tippen muss.

Un séjour agréable dans un endroit agréable avec un personnel très efficace.
Pros:

C'est une ravissante bâtisse située au centre du village. La salle du petit-déjeuner est jolie et bien située avec vue sur le jardin privatif. Le buffet du petit déjeuner était très complet et les fruits frais.

Cons:

Le parking privé était très juste et la borne de recharge fonctionnait mal.

Generally very good and would return.
Pros:

Excellent location. We liked the quirkiness of the hotel and the fact it was full of character. Our room was very pleasant with high quality toiletries provided. Quality of food ion restaurant was excellent although very expensive. Staff polite, helpful and friendly.

Cons:

Some of the public areas like the stair carpets are in need of refurbishment. On one morning, there seemed to be a shortage of staff at breakfast.
