A return visit to the wonderful Moulin De Vigonac. A warm welcome from Oliver and family - just as magical as we remember with superb dining in a fabulous setting. The highest standard of accommodation is offered. Easy walk into Brantome. This family run hotel offers all you could wish for when visiting the Dordogne.

A beautiful boutique hotel. A spacious room, with thoughtful design. A very peaceful hotel, with the water wheel creating a calming noise. Pool was wonderful. Staff were friendly and helpful.

A memorable stay
Pros:

This is a hotel that we love to stay at. We are always made so welcome by the charming owners and their son who will greet us personally in the car park when we arrive.
The bedrooms are so comfortable and beautifully appointed. The grounds with the mill race quite beautiful. And food to die for !
We will always return.

What a gem of a hotel! We loved everything about this water mill turned into a charming country hotel with a gourmet restaurant . The owners treated us like family and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, from adding items to the breakfast and dinner menu , making recommendations on places to visit, keeping our luggage while we toured after we checked out and we were even given a goodbye gift!Most of the staff spoke English very well and were extremely encouraging and patient with my attempts to practice French. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious, well appointed and so prettily decorated. We had a balcony overlooking the turning mill wheel and flowers. It was a peaceful spot to relax read and sip on tea or wine.. Do not miss a chance to dine at the restaurant the food was exquisite and far surpassed some of the Michelin star restaurants we have dined in. Again the little touches of 2 plates of amuse bouches before the meal and a cleansing sorbet between the appetizer and entree and petit fours after dessert demonstrated the chef’s passion for the art of cuisine. The breakfast on the sunny terrace overlooking the gardens included crepes, yoghurts, fruit, pastries and a local delicacy each morning. They were happy to make eggs also! The pool was welcome after a long hot day touring around and if you felt energetic one could walk into town . The only sad thing was that we could not stay longer- but we know we will be drawn back to this one of a kind hotel!

Beautiful charming little hotel. We spent 2 nights here for our honeymoon and had a great time, the staff were attentive and helpful. Our room was lovely, really clean. My only negative point was that there were no tea and coffee facilities in the room and nowhere to get a drink when you’re by the pool, but these really didn’t take away from a wonderful stay

Intimate family run hotel providing first rate accommodations in a wonderful park like setting. Restaurant was excellent, serving fresh gourmet food from a talented chef. Staff was super friendly. As comfortable and relaxing as you can get. Can't wait to come back.

We were looking for a tranquil escape. We certainly found it here. The food is incredible and we cannot recommend this place enough. The whole family are a wonderful set of people who cannot do enough for you. If you want somewhere peaceful, beautiful and enjoy good food, this place is for you.
