Hotel Tre Stelle

Fab! Very easy to get the short distance into Montepulciano by regular buses which stop very close to the property - and you save a lot of money by being outside Montepulciano - pleasant leafy small town with lots of handy shops. Very clean and comfy public areas - spacious and great local wines from the bar and most pleasant breakfast room. The room I had was very comfortable and clean with a lovely large balcony so could sit out in the evening - spotless bathroom. Reception and service extremely helpful, friendly and professional. Would heartily recommend to anyone to whom this hotel sounds attractive. Thank you so much to the lovely talented staff

After needing a sudden transfer to a new hotel, my wife and my brother and his wife stayed here for 6 days and we were immediately accommodated. Tre Stelle is a hidden gem of travel comfort and we highly recommend staying here. Hotel is clean and air conditioning is very good for those travelling in the summer. Location is excellent for those touring the wineries of Montepulciano and Montalcino as well as the hilltop cities of Penza and Sienna. Prices are fair and very reasonable and include a breakfast in the morning which was quite nice. Their aperitivos in the evening were quite good as well. Elisa and Chiara went out of their way daily to help us by calling taxis, restaurants and wineries we could tour and they never failed to help us, all with a happy friendly smile. All hotel staff were very accommodating, friendly and thoughtful. Every morning they even remembered our coffee orders and met us with a smile. by the way, the best pizza in the Province of Siena is next door too. Can’t go wrong here.

Ottimo Hotel

Struttura leggermente decentrata ma in posizione gradevole e tranquilla. Camere sufficientemente spaziose, dotate di tutti i confort, con arredamenti retrò, ben climatizzate ed insonorizzate e soprattutto con una pulizia veramente perfetta. Personale disponibile e dinamico. La prima colazione è classica italiana con dolci favolosi tutti fatti in casa. Da ritornarci.

While traveling through Italy, I wanted to stay a couple of days in Montepulciano. Found this hotel on Expedia for the unbelievable price of 45 Euros per day(plus taxes). I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. The hotel is quite simple, but clean. And although on the main road about 10 mins outside of Montepulciano proper, I found the room to be quiet. I had a balcony where I was able to sit with sparkling water, a wonderful local red wine, some bread and prosciutto overlooking the rolling Tuscan hills. It was amazing. The food in the attached restaurant was good and reasonably priced. ('Pici' is the local pasta and was delicious everywhere.) The breakfast was completely unremarkable. Free parking was easy right next to the hotel or in the lot the hotel owns across the street. I recommend this hotel as it gives you the feel of an authentic local Italian experience at a very reasonable cost.

Bolzano was amazing. The location of the hotel was perfect. A short walk to the tram one way and an easy walk to old town area the other. Parking across the street and an exceptional breakfast.

Quick lay over. Everyone was friendly.

A superb hotel, typically Tuscan decorated yet modern with all the comforts we could possibly need. Our room was cosy yet beautifully air-conditioned when retreating from the fantastic 37degree weather. The level of cleanliness could not be bettered. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly, several speaking good English and not judging us for having no Italian! A definite five star stay.

I don’t usually leave any comments but this hotel was an absolute disappointment mainly because of false advertisement. I booked this hotel because after a few days of driving around Tuscany, we wanted to spend our last afternoon by the pool drinking wine from Montepulciano without spending a lot of money for high end hotels. However, when we arrived in the hotel we found out that they don’t actually have a pool in the hotel. Instead, they will give you a free ticket to go to a public pool nearby which was absolutely shocking. I wasn’t expecting a lot from the hotel due to the price so I didn’t really read the reviews but it’s very important for hotels whether big or small to ensure that what they're advertising is accurate. The breakfast was very basic. You get what you pay plus THERE IS NO POOL!

The hotel can be summarized in one word: Charming! Our experience here was fantastic. The owner who was at the reception desk when we arrived is really helpful and her constant smile illuminates our day! The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom, although small, the shower was potent and amazing! I had a wonderfull stay here. I’d recommend to everyone! Oh... and the view was amazing too!

It is a nice well run hotel which did the job very nicely. Nothing particularly spectacular but everything was fine. A short bus ride to Montepulciano with a bus stop right outside meant that we could taste wine all day and not worry about driving back!

Beautiful small hotel in small town near Montepuliciano. Great restaurant in hotel and easy parking. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Recommend it highly.

Great base for touring this beautiful area. Easy to park. Elevator. Very good breakfast. Rooms have balcony with good views. We couldn’t enjoy the balcony due to cold spring weather in Italy.
