Pros:

Endroit calme dans superbe jardin, gentillesse du personnel, proximité du centre de Funchal

Cons:

Peu de services proposés pour un 4 étoiles, problème d'insonorisation des chambres notamment avec le couloir, hôtel qui a dû avoir ses heures de gloire mais méritant un sérieux rafraîchissement

El entorno, las vistas del desayuno. La comida del desayuno y el trato del personal, sobretodo del señor Alberto Freitas

Cons:

Dos días no pudimos ducharnos a primera hora con agua caliente. Tuvieron algún problema con las calderas y tardaron en resolverlo

Great boutique hotel
Pros:

The hotel has a very nice boutique hotel vibe . The hotel is close enough to city center that you can walk (about 10-15 min) but far enough so it is peaceful and quiet .
The garden is beautiful and the view at breakfast is so good that it sets your day on a good path.
The breakfast was great. A bit of a la carte with a enough choices to satisfy most people's wishes. Breakfast is very good. Totally recommend.
Staff at breakfast were great and make you feel like a valued guest.
Rooms were cleaned every day and overall cleanliness was impressive.
Hotel also has a parking available (needs reservation) which is great as most people will have a rented car.

Cons:

Hotel is on a hill so it is a bit of a hike when you come back. I did not find it that bad overall but it depends on your fitness level.
Also there are no restaurants or supermarkets around which makes it a bit difficult since the hotel does not serve any other meals than breakfast.
The rooms are somewhat outdated. Very clean but not very modern.

A perfect homebase for exploring Funchal and beyond
Pros:

Lovely location overlooking the city, very comfortable room and all the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. And if Andre at the reception recommends a restaurant, please go. The restaurant he sent us to was amazing; the food and flavors unlike anything I have had before.

Incredible anniversary stay!
Pros:

We couldn't be happier with every single aspect of our stay. Every single member of staff was kind, helpful and professional in the most genuine way. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast included was brilliant. Location was exceptional. We came to Madeira to celebrate our two year wedding anniversary and this was noticed and we were made to feel like truly special guests. 10/10 recommended!

10/10 would recommend.
Pros:

Friendly staff who went out of their way to accommodate us. They helped me make my girlfriend’s birthday special by organizing flowers and also gave her a little gift. They gave great recommendations for restaurants and about the area. 10/10 breakfast and the staff were super super nice, particularly shoutout to Andre and Jessica.

Cons:

Everything was great. Only small hiccup was that we got two double beds pushed together but they are on wheel so they can slide apart at night but not a biggie.

Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt
Pros:

Sehr schönes Hotel oberhalb der Altstadt von Funchal gelegen. Fußläufig alles in Funchal zu erreichen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Frühstück bekommt man auf der Terrasse mit Blick über Funchal morgens serviert. Der Garten ist seht gepflegt.
Das Hotel ist international ausgerichtet und kann man nur empfehlen.

Cons:

Außenfassade könnte einen frischen Anstrich vertragen, da dieser den Originalfotos nicht mehr entspricht.
