Great location, amazing rooms, staff were fab
Helpful staff, lovely rooms, close to shops, pubs etc
Can’t fault a single thing, excellent
Room was very spacious and bathroom and bathtub was great
Not much
We stayed for 1 night at the Velvet. And got a great deal through Expedia. Overall a good experience, and would return, just a few slight issues.
Staff are very welcoming and check in was made that more special with being offered a glass of prosecco on arrival.
The room was well furnished and great to have a four poster bed. All your usual mod cons of coffee machine, large TV were all provided.
The only trouble we did have two-fold. During the night we the room developed a ticking sound which did cause one of us to not have the best night sleep. In the light of day this turned out to be a water leak dripping from the upstairs room through the ceiling and on top the coffee station. It was wet through. We notified reception and thanked us for letting them know.
After checking out we received an email mentioning i was to be charged £13 from the pre-auth. Apparently we'd had snacks from the mini bar. We hadn't. We mentioned it to reception, and I received an email from the manager apologising for the mistake and i was issued a refund.
Absolutely amazing the room was so comfortable and cozy
Nothing to dislike
The room was amazing but just needed a bit more ventilation.
It was too hot when sleeping.
Changed room 4 times due to various issues including no safe in the room, the air conditioning didn’t work and the room was 27 degrees. The restaurant was not open (which was not stated in the details) so you had to have breakfast in your room and consisted of cornflakes. The hotel was extremely disappointing
Room was lovely, everything worked. Bathroom very clean and luxurious. Reception surprised me with a birthday glass of wine and some fruit/cake/macaroons which was fab ❤️
Will definitely come again!
Nothing in particular, not sure if it was me but Room 22 had a plug next to the lamp which didn't seem to hold my charger (above the bedside table on the right facing TV) so just had to use the lower one, otherwise perfect!
Location, styling and decor, welcoming staff. Clean,
The location of Velvet Hotel Manchester, WorldHotels Crafted was convenient and central, with easy access to nearby shops, restaurants, and transport links.
Unfortunately, the cleanliness was extremely poor. The windows were visibly dirty, and the glasses provided in the room were filthy, which made the stay feel unhygienic and uncomfortable. Considering the high price, this was unacceptable.
Additionally, we were required to pay a £200 deposit for the minibar on top of the room cost, which was not mentioned at the time of booking. This lack of transparency felt unprofessional. The minibar itself contained only a few small alcoholic drinks, which was very disappointing. Given the limited selection and the apparent pricing, it felt excessively overpriced and poor value for money.
Good location close to everything
