While Velvet Hotel does it's best to minimize noise disruption, due to it's location in Manchester’s Gay Village, some external noise is unavoidable during busier periods (including Tuesday, Friday and Saturday evenings). The hotel reception can provide ear plugs on request.
Village Brasserie is currently closed for refurbishment works. The hotel reception can provide alternative restaurant recommendations. Velvet Bar remains open for drinks only.

The hotel is beautiful, a lovely location and the rooms are clean. Reception staff are so polite aswell as the bar staff. Paul at the hotel bar is lovely and incredibly helpful. I’ve been three times and will continue to come back whenever I visit Manchester

Room 204 was very noisy. I expected some noise due to location however there was some kind of unit under our window which made a noise every few minutes and was impossible to sleep through
Very smart hotel in the middle of the gay district of Manchester, so very central and well located by the canal. Nice bar in the hotel and plenty of entertainment nearby. My room was very well appointed and comfortable.
Breakfast was only continental and had to be taken in your room.
Excellent location, clean, newly refurbished room.
Check in process was long. We happened to arrive at the same time as a few of the bookings though.
Lift wasn’t working so had to carry luggage up stairs.
I had an amazing stay at Velvet Hotel Manchester. Josh and Dariia were absolutely fantastic—super friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Thank you both for making my stay so special!
