The facility is obviously old and only some of the rooms have been updated.
Pros:

The problem here is we had 2 rooms. We were happy with room 233 it was fairly well updated but room 203 was terrible. 203 was dark, dingy, dirty and we had to call immediately for a detailed cleaning. We had asked for a new room but nothing available. The staff was very attentive to correcting the situation the best that they could.

Cons:

Room 203 would not be something I would ever request. Check in and breakfast required walking 100yards down a very steep path to the Econo Lodge

It was safe and sound

At night time the top floor was so loud, like having foot party at 3:30 in the morning

What a Disappointment & a waste of money!
Pros:

I'm sorry, but there wasn't anything we liked about our stay here. I don't understand how Booking.com had a 7.8 rating on this Hotel when I was booking a Hotel for our stay.

Cons:

Everything. It was run down, dirty, smelled musty, beds were uncomfortable, no water pressure & it is run by Econo Lodge at the bottom of the hill that have Rude Employees & you have to drive down just to get breakfast there, because they don't have anything available at the Chalet Inn. I spoke with 3 other guests who had the same opinion about the Chalet Inn.

Pros:

I stay here all the time when I come. The lady at the front desk was exceptional. Loved her personality and customer service. The location is prime to avoid the hustle and bustle of traffic. You can park where you check in to avoid the hill.

Cons:

Unfortunatley, I stayed in the other building. And It wasnt clean. Infested with stink bugs,. It was midnight before we finally got to go to sleep. In the end, they made it right. But the cleaning itself was not up to par. Has been a few years, but not at all what I remembered. Some things out of their control, others im grateful they did correct the issue with the final room change. The veiw was good and the final room was fine. I do miss the trees behind (however I know that isnt their fault, its the new hotel destroying the environment for the bears.

A really creepy place all the way around but the major problem is that what they advertise online (pictures) and what the hotel is really like, is like two completely different hotels.

If you could have opened a window would have been great.

Pros:

It was close to everything which was great, but still back enough it wasn’t difficult to pull into or out of. It isn’t fancy, but it was clean, pretty views, and comfy.

Cons:

Does have some cosmetic issues, but it’s an older building so it was expected. We didn’t mind that at all. In fact, it felt charming to us. It is confusing to get to, and required a few turn around to find. If you want walkable to the strip, it isn’t that, but I also preferred that as it made it less busy. Biggest concern we had was there wasn’t a lot of potty areas for my service dog, but we made do.
