Pros:

Staff was nice and accommodating, beds were comfortable, location was very good

Cons:

There was no complimentary water in the room as there usually is (we have stayed there often in the past). When I asked the staff they said it had not come in yet. The bathroom had a urine smell and the whole room had a musty/humid smell as soon as we entered. Also, because there are top windows that open and they are not well sealed, there is a lot of noise from the street at night.

Fabulous location
Pros:

What a gorgeous hotel. The staff is amazing. The breakfast was excellent. The coffee machine on the 6th floor was truly appreciated!! Many restaurants in walking distance.

Viaje de Trabajo Residence Inn
Pros:

El personal del hotel fue aboslutamente maravilloso. Muy muy amable, muy atentos y me solucionaron todos los inconvenientes. Se acuerdan de los huespedes y te saludan con nombre. Se fueron más allá del deber para ayudar y hacer agradable la estadía.

Cons:

La plancha en mi cuarto fue dañada. No habia secador de pelo. El recipiente del acondicionador en el baño estuvo completamente vacio. El microondas y las gavetas de la cocina fueron sucios y no habian los elementos de limpieza.
No me pareció espectacular el desayno como leí en los reviews. Era lo mismo todos los días. Me pareció basico y con opciones para vegetarianos y cero opciones para veganos. No es posible nadar en la piscina, es solamente para mojar a los pies. Esperaba algo mucho mejor con base en los reviews anteriores.

Great spot for a short visit
Pros:

Our room on the sixth floor was large, clean, and comfortable. It's obviously designed for longer stays. There was a full-size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and mini stove top, along with utensils, etc. Even though there were 2 of us in the room, there was just one bottle of water, one of each tea, one robe, and one pair of slippers. I liked that there was a door btw the sink and the toilet. I liked the soaps, especially since they provided a bar soap by the sink. Gilchrist and Solmes is the brand of shampoo, conditioner, soaps, and moisturizer provided. There was also a safe in the room. Buffet breakfast included omelets to order and a variety of hot and cold items, including green juice and ripe plantains. The pool and small gym looked nice, but we didn't use them. I didn't find out until too late that there were 2 tours that depart from this hotel in the afternoon and included dinner. The avenue it's on is an outdoor mall - safe and clean with quite a few restaurants, including Capitol Grill. The street ends by a small park where you can walk your dog or go birdwatching. The hotel is only about a 15-minute drive to the US embassy. It's attached to the AC Hotel, another Marriott property. They had a nice rooftop Bar (2nd flr) where you can glimpse the sunset. The prices for food and beverages in these 2 hotels and the nearby restaurants and bars were similar to those in NYC.
Minor negatives: the steady hum of the refrigerator, dusty baseboard in bathroom, limited English TV.
Note: you won't need to speak Spanish, but it would help.
This area seems to appeal to business travelers and locals.
