The Avenue Center Hotel

Ours was a two night stay. We chose this hotel primarily due to the proximity of the hotel to the place we wanted to visit.
Location: The hotel is located on Panampilly Avenue, not very far from the main M.G. Rd. There are a lot of eateries in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. There is ample uncovered parking; however, on most nights, various functions are held at the hotel and it is not very easy to find parking right in front of the hotel should you return to the hotel say, around 8 pm. - you might have to wait until 10 pm or so to get a spot close to the hotel (the security guards are very helpful in this regard).
Hotel: The hotel itself looks like a large mansion and is painted white. It is a quaint hotel that gives one the feeling that it belongs to another age (as opposed to modern hotels made of steel and glass). It does, however, need another coat of paint and a makeover.
Room: Our room was very large compared to rooms of most modern hotels. The room and the bathroom was neat and clean though it could do with some sprucing up. All the furniture in the room was of teak wood (or so I thought) which, together with the two French windows, added to the colonial ambience of the room. The bed was large and comfortable. Lighting in the room was not adequate. There was no desk lamp in the room.
Buffert breakfast spread was OK (mainly South Indian food). Our stay was comfortable though I thought the staff neeeded some more training in making guests feel welcome.

Very nice hotel....had a good stay...,location n staff were good and rooms were clean ....definitely I would recommend this hotel

Spent 2 weeks here. Great hotels at affordable prices. They attempt 5star charges/prices for some amenities, but are not a 5star hotel. Besides that, they are ok for a stay.

we enjoyed our stay mainly because it is situated in an ideal location quiet place.we had a very pleasant stay we look forward to stay again when we come to Kochi again.

A good place with minimum comfortable services. Location was good with quiet areas around. Rooms were big and a good breakfast.
