Hotel Tip Top Plaza

I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Tip Top Plaza, Thane for more than five months as a corporate guest, and my experience has been truly wonderful.

Every day, I enjoyed a delicious and well-prepared breakfast. The housekeeping team maintained excellent cleanliness and ensured my room was always neat and comfortable.

The food at Grand Thali was excellent, and the à la carte room service dishes were equally delicious with great taste and quality. The bell desk team was always helpful, prompt, and assisted me whenever needed.

I also appreciate the front desk staff for managing my check-out and re-check-in process smoothly and professionally.

I purchased sweets and namkeen from Tip Top Mithaiwala, and they were fresh and very tasty.

A special thanks to Mr. Chetan Bhanushali for his outstanding hospitality, professionalism, and exceptional service throughout my stay. His dedication to guest satisfaction made my long stay even more comfortable and memorable.

I highly recommend Hotel Tip Top Plaza to anyone looking for excellent hospitality, great food, and a pleasant stay experience.

The rooms are old. The plug points are very archaic . They can have plug points with the facility for new gadgets but they don’t . Toilets and shower are basic . All in all the facilities are equivalent to a 3 star hotel. There is no portico for the car at the entrance . Room sizes are decent .

Can make improvement on light switches, charging plug points

The ultimate thing which I liked was food and the quantity provided.
It was worth the price.

Excellent food and hospitality

I would like to share my recent experience with Hotel Tip Top in Thane.

We had a marriage in the family, and since some relatives had onward train and flight travel plans, we booked three rooms at the hotel so everyone, especially the elderly family members, could take some rest before travelling.

At check-in, the reception staff member named Priya informed us that we have a booking for six people and no more can be allowed in the room, even temporarily. She seemed to have a bad day so she was bit arrogant from beginning, We had booked three large rooms with two double beds, and only some people were intended to stay overnight. The remaining family members simply wanted to rest for a short while before leaving for their respective journeys.

I explained that some families had trains around 5 PM, 7PM and 9PM only needed a couple of hours to freshen up and rest. However, Priya was very rigid and said they would not be allowed into the rooms even for half an hour.

Since I could not ask my guests, especially elderly family members, to wait outside, I ended up booking an additional room for four people and also paid extra charges for three additional guests. In the end, most of those guests did not even stay as they had their own travel plans later that day.

For me, this is not about the money. It is about the behaviour of the staff and the way guests are treated.

To make things worse, my sister, who lives in Thane, came later in the evening just to say hello and spend some time with us, and the staff were reluctant to even allow her to visit us in the room. I genuinely do not understand this kind of hospitality policy.

I completely understand that hotels may have rules and occupancy policies, but there is always a respectful and empathetic way to communicate and manage situations, especially when elderly guests and families are involved. The overall experience gave the impression that the hotel operates with a lack of trust towards its own guests, which felt quite uncomfortable.

We did have lunch at the Thali restaurant, and the food was genuinely good. Unfortunately, the hospitality experience at reception overshadowed that positive part of the stay.

I have stayed in hotels across the world and have never experienced staff behaviour that felt this intrusive and unwelcoming. Overall, it was quite disappointing.

I have been visiting Hotel Tip Top Plaza, Thane for attending my company trade show for the past 12 years, and every stay here has been a wonderful experience. The atmosphere of the hotel is always superb and it truly feels like my second home.

I usually stay here for around fifteen days every year, and the comfort level has always been excellent. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is wonderful with great quality and variety.

The front desk team always ensures a very quick and smooth check-in and check-out process. Bell desk assistants are always available and very helpful. Housekeeping, cleaning services, and laundry services are consistently excellent.

Room service food is good and always delivered very quickly. The hotel WiFi works perfectly, and the internet speed is also very good, which makes working from the hotel very convenient.

I would especially like to appreciate Mr. Chetan Bhanushali for his outstanding customer service and support over the last 12 years. He is truly a powerhouse, a great hotelier, always ready to assist, and has a very gentle and positive aura.

I frequently stay at Hotel Tip Top Plaza whenever I travel for office work and client meetings. Sometimes I stay for a week, 10 days, or even 20 days, and every single time the experience has been amazing.

The hotel staff is extremely polite, professional, and welcoming. A special mention to Manager Mr. Chetan — he is truly an outstanding person. He is always ready to help with anything you need and makes every guest feel comfortable and cared for. His welcoming nature and support make the hotel feel just like home.

The hospitality here is excellent, and because of people like Mr. Chetan, staying at Hotel Tip Top Plaza is always a wonderful experience. Highly recommended for both business and personal stays.

Food and service is great

We had a fantastic stay of over 15 days at Tip Top Hotel, Thane, Mumbai—truly a memorable experience. Manager Mr. Chetan welcomed me with a smile every time and had an energetic presence. He’s truly an asset to the hotel.
The welcome desk staff were top-notch, and their professionalism stood out.
The complimentary breakfast had a wide variety of options, superbly managed by the hotel team. Every morning, we not only enjoyed the meals but also felt a personal touch in the service. It’s this attention to detail that makes me look forward to visiting again!

Tip Top Plaza is located conviniently in Thane. Can reach locations in both Thane, Mumbai and Navi Mumbai easily. Airport is less than 1 hour during non-peak hours.

The breakfast options every morning are great, with a good variety to suit everyone’s taste. The housekeeping team deserves special appreciation for their consistent and accurate daily cleaning service.
Room service is also impressive, especially the à la carte menu, which offers a wide range of options even late at night making it very convenient.
The Grand Thali restaurant is fantastic for both lunch and dinner. The Aamras Puri is a must-try and absolutely delicious.
Additionally, Tip Top Mithaiwala offers great snacks for evening consumption. Our team also purchased sweets to take home, and the quality was excellent.
