This is a great value for money property. My room was exceptionally neat and tidy. The location is also close to the major hotspots in cochin.
For the budget rate that they provide the rooms, it's definitely worth it. We were looking for rooms around Fort Kochi, which are budget friendly and Fort Queen definitely does a great job at it.
The rooms are nice and clean, and also the location is very close to Fort Kochi.
Getting any sort of public transport from here is also very easy and you also get direct buses to the airport.
Nearby activitiesThis hotel is very close to Fort Kochi and this place is a tourist spot. Lot of exploring can be done in this area and nice places to visit close by are Jew Town Spice Market and the Fort Kochi Beach. The Jew Town Spice Market also has a very old Jewish Synagogue which is worth a visit.
A nice place situated between Mattancherry and Fort Kochi and is very convenient for tourists looking fr an affordable stay. The rooms are neat and clean and the staff is also friendly.
Its hardly 2 minutes from the main tourist spot, which is Fort Kochi. The rates and prices are economical and affordable.
Stayed here as part of a family group in early March 2024. The property is located bang on the main road leading to iconic Fort Cochin. Despite this, we did not hear any vehicle movement sound inside the rooms. The rooms were spacious, neat and very well kept. Bed was comfortable and linen was new and ironed. The front desk staff made up of M/s Stefi, Sulfiya, Aruna and Arunraj, were very helpful and ever smiling. They helped us with timely checking in and also in timely room supplies. Breakfast menu can be improved as we had repeat items on two days we had breakfast there. Even the quality of items needs an improvement. But for this, the property deserves a 5 star rating….
A comfortable hotel for stay and remote working... that is how Hotel Fort Queen worked for me. On a personal travel for family functions + tourism, I was looking for a comfortable stay. Good internet connectivity was a must, as I also had one day of remote working factored into the travel. The Hotel turned out to be a perfect choice. Closer to many of the prominent residential locations around Fort Cochin, function locations were just a walk away. As it was peak summer, we preferred to take auto rickshaws, that were easily available once we step out of the hotel. All tourist destinations are also accessible by auto rickshaws - within 2-3 Kms distance. The in-house restaurant was a good discovery. Food was nice and the service was good too. When we were getting delayed for the complimentary breakfast, the staff dialed to the room and offered to delivery food to the room. Staff at the reception (Aldrin and Shalu) are very courteous. They obliged for a delayed checked-out and enabled all the help required to ensure our stay was comfortable. The only point of discomfort was a bar on the ground floor. The bar access is away from the main entrance, but the place remains busy till late night. The rooms on this side may experience some noise associated with vehicle movement and discussions at night.
We had lunch and breakfast and the food was excellent and plenty of it. The staff were very nice and helpful. This is a great location as a base to see Fort Cochin and district and we took a sunset cruise around the islands. The room was clean, air conditioned, hot water, good shower, good wifi and a tv. This was one of the best hotels during our trip around Kerala
This place is located near to Mavley’s Dental Place. The staff were very friendly and greeted us.
The food was excellent and the service was excellent.
The food was not that too expensive at all.
I would recommend this place to others.
I think our Indian guide thought we would like lunch here! I can't imagine why. I think the staff where a bit overwhelmed by our number ... 13 of us, so it did cause delays with food orders. The restaurant was drab and all just wanted was something light, not full on buffet! Ordered spring rolls, which though tasty was too thick a pastry. Accompanied by a Kingfisher Storm (never had one before ... nice).
Well mqintened rooms and good servicce. Another advantage is the accessability to Fort Kochi. Located in the main road itself . Well maintained bar with reasonable price and fine service.Rocommadable fpr those who looks for a budget option in Fort Kochi.
Nice looking hotel with good rooms, shower luke warm, tv and thin towel. Good aircon and overhead fan. Need auto rickshaw to shops and cafes as dodgy to walk from here but only 1-2 km. Nice bar. No breakfast buffet on offer when we were there so breakfast took 1 hour to get my coffee and whole process long and slow. No one cleaned the room in between our two nights so no clean towels which was unfortunate. Ok to stay and think we had limited service due to being the only ones staying. Perhaps the bar best with buy two get one free offer. Restaurant not sampled but menu looked OK.
Very good food and beverage with a a a very wonderful service all at a reasonable price. Very accessible location. In the main area and on the main road where it is easy to get a bus or an auto or a cab.
Excellent hotel...front desk was exceptionally friendly with a smile...nice hotel with good amenities....was travelling with family and friends...everyone have a thums up for d location, Service and d front task....
Was a pleasure staying at Fort queen.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Good food and great ambience at the restaurant.Rooms are clean and tidy.
Looking forward to stay at Fort queen again.
Thank u
had two nights here as part of a tour and it was a good hotel. room and bed comfy, aircon very effective, room quiet despite overlooking street. breakfast was ok, all staff very helpful. one downside was the shower didn't get hot water at any time during our stay, it wasn't freezing, it was just not hot, tepid at best. however in 35 degrees heat this was less of an issue. Not much to see around and about the hotel neighbourhood but plenty of tuk-tuks to go to see the sights of Kochin, typically 50 Rupees or less. There is a small weights room with reasonable equipment and aircon. I would stay here again.
Good regular breakfast buffet, plus tea and sandwiches for our group leaving at 4:30 a.m. on the second morning. Also good lunch in restaurant. Location is ok but not near waterfront. Room was small and dingy.
A tuk tuk ride away from the main part of Kochin this is still a good place to stay with nice staff. The rooms are reasonably clean and big enough to spread out a bit. Breakfast is quite nice with a choice of Indian and some western food. There are a couple of high quality souvenir shops very close to here.
Our driver recommended this place for lunch after a morning sightseeing in sweltering heat.
The restaurant is apparently known for its buffet meals. However, we chose off the menu and are so glad we did.
Hubby ordered the seafood platter. Whilst a little pricey at 800 rupees he said it was well worth it and one of the best meals he has had.
I ordered the fish in banana leaf and that was excellent too.
The poppadom like things they served were great.
Highly recommended for all fish and seafood enthusiasts.
The room is spacious with separate sitting and dinning area having two TV sets, each for bedroom and sitting,Centralized Air conditioning and clean bathroom. Free Wi-Fi with good speed is available.Food quality is good and price is slightly on higher side. Stayed for only one night hence can not say much about service. The check-in and check-out were quick. The hotel has secure parking in its premises.
I am happy to say that i enjoyed a lot in there and special attention given by staff that really very good.n there is no vehicle facility in hotel but they have bicycles to ride it.specially that bicycles ride to fort beach remember my childhood memories.and ill enjoyed a lot.my hubby and me very happy to stay in yhis hotel.thank you.
An average hotel compares to other hotels in the town. But when you takes the specific location , fort queen will be a right option specially who needs alcohol attached to the hotel. Price is too high compares to the quality of rooms and services . Bed sheets were torned and bathrooms were on a high time for revamp.
