The Orange House

Stayed for three weeks. Got lucky with the only room where the balcony had the sun all day as no pool here. Peaceful and quiet. Corner shop for necessities and currency exchange just down the road. Would stay again happily. Plenty of places to eat in the area.

Pro - Room and Bathroom clean ; Store nearby ;

Cons - There is no hotel staff after 5 pm if you need anything
No restaurant at hotel and no good options nearby
Market and beach are far ( half hour walk ; more than 2 kms away )

Comment : Need to hire a two wheeler ;
check in at a different place ( 60 harcourt st ) as per site is incorrect
You can get a better acco near beach for the same amount
If you dont have any other option then only one should consider
Next door is Day's Home Stays which was much better

stay was very nice. The room was very big for three of us. Hot water was available 24 hours. Luckily since the hotel sita vegetarian was situated near by we did not find any problem for food. All the beaches were very near to the hotel. The stay was very good.

Stayed 7 nights good but basic room. clean and tidy.Nice balcony to sit out on in evenings.
The one thing that would really improve it overall would be to supply an electric kettle!!

I should stop writing good reviews about each stay I have at The Orange House as it is getting harder and harder for me to get a room! But, the staff remain so friendly and welcoming, how could I do that?

Incredibly helpful staff booked transport for us before we arrived, and again before we left. Very nice large room, quiet location. Its not close to the beach but you can easily get rickshaws or rent scooters cheaply (roads very quiet). Recommended.

It's too good..! When I reach at goa I go at hotel n they give me full apartment... Wow.! N also they are so polite I strongly recommend for all.!

Value for money, allowed late check in , staff and the owner is very friendly and helpful. Well recommend....

good one and got it for cheap price. comfort. I am in off season so they offered me ac room for cheap price. room is good and it has balcony on the road side.

You get more than you would expect for the price. I have stayed at the Orange House on many occasions over many years. Great rooms, comfy beds, free wife, plenty of hot water, and a balcony. What's not to love.

If you are on a budget and are happy with no frills accommodation then Orange House is the place for you. The rooms are simply furnished with a bed, a desk and chair, a fridge and a TV. They each come with a balcony too, that has a table and two further chairs. The rooms are cooled by a ceiling fan, although, I think some also have AC. The bathroom was a shower, sink and a toilet and there is always loads of hot water. There is a large store alongside this hotel, so stocking your fridge with beverages is a breeze. Anjuna and Vagator beaches with their many bars are restaurants are within walking distance. You can pay to use the pool at local hotel Anjuna Lagoona should you fancy a change from the beach.

Let me put it this way, I have already booked two more trips to this hotel in the coming weeks. Need I say more?

An awesome place to stay near Anjuna beach. Owners were really nice and friendly. I've been there twice and would love to stay there only if i go to Goa again. Sublime facilities and personal touch in service..that's all what makes this place a big hit!!

ok but no soap towel toilet paper on arrival. When I asked I was begrudgingly given soap and a towel. Wi fi very slow and can't deal with downloads or attachments.

The Orange House is a highly recommended choice. Extremely cordial and helpful staff. Very near to Anjuna and Vagator. Nice peaceful surroundings. Scores very high on comfort, homeliness and convenience.

Hotel is very good and close to Anjuna beach. Jordan is very friendly and also does vehicle arrangement if required.

THE STAFF WAS EXTREMELY HELPFUL...SPECIALLY TINA & JORDAN.. HOWEVER, THE LOCATION IS A LITTLE REMOTE & 2WHEELER IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY IF ONE IS TRAVELLING IN THE NIGHT TO & FROM THE BEACH AREAS AND EATING JOINTS. WE HAD HIRED ONE FROM THEM AND THEREFORE HAD NO PROB IN MOVING AROUND. ROOM IS ON THE AVERAGE. THE ROOM AC WAS THERE BUT IT WAS NOT SWITCHED ON. PEOPLE WERE EXTREMELY GOOD AND FRIENDLY.

In general the personnel is friendly and helpful. Our requests were handled fast and friendly. However one must keep in mind that this is a cheaper guesthouse in goa, meaning the cleaniness and maintenance standards do not fit those you might be used to in the west. Be ready for different kind of insects visiting. Although there is regular cleaning the results are just not really satisfactory because the dust and old dirt remains also after cleaning. No toilet paper is supplied for free, no bedlinen for the blankets supplied without specific request. But there is good shops around, good restaurants closeby and beach is in walking distance. They also arrange you excursions. The immediate surrounding is not very good, cleaning of the streets and yard would strongly be recommended and make the place much nicer to stay at.

It's a perfect place to stay if u don't mind a toilet and bath in your room without a sealing...would not recommend for a family if u looking for even little bit of luxury...has a cable tv and a fridge...decent size beds and a balcony...in the interiors so no view from the room...a plus point that the room has hot water shower all day long...could not ask for more than this at the price...
