The Hotel is grand in Appearance, Cleanliness, Comfort, Service and Food!
Fabulous hotel but ladies need to bring their own vanity mirror as mounted one is too high. Bathroom counters are extra deep, which gives you more space but also makes it very difficult to lean over to wash your face in the sink. Despite this issue, the staff is amazing and we love the hotel. The staff makes you feel very special.
We have been coming to Charleston Place even before it was named Charleston Place. Every time was uniquely impressive. This time, oh my goodness, we felt so special by every staff member at every turn! Samone knew my name by the second day and went out of her way to accommodate every need. Mr. Lewis runs the lobby beautifully, making sure every visitor remembers their experience here. I must shout out to Sam H., the door man, who is so loving and kind, yet very professional. A true gentleman. Finally, Kevin the chauffeur was Johnny on the spot with a smile and pleasant conversation.
Yes, Charleston Place has upped its game to an extremely high level. You will want to return to this lovely city and stay at this establishment if you want to feel special and appreciated.
Thank you Charleston Place for making our trip to Charleston so wonderful and memorable. CP staff is the living embodiment of Southern hospitality. The staff is happy; they love working at this exceptional hotel. We did not have a newly renovated room; nevertheless our room was well appointed. Comfy bed, linens and pillows. Spa treatments were fantastic. Ask for Melissa if you want a massage; best massage I have had in years! A special feature - ground transportation- meant that we did not have to rely on uber or taxis when taking in a performance at the Gaillard Center. Shout out to Greg L. and Micheal V., you guys were great and so entertaining! Thanks for great rides. This is our go to, always top notch hotel; location, service and luxury makes this our choice for Charleston accommodation. Do not worry about on- going renovations; we had almost no sense that a Reno was underway. We can’t wait for our next visit.

Lovely stay! We are local to the area but wanted to enjoy Charleston like a tourist for my son’s birthday celebration. Every interaction exceeded expectations from the valet, doormen, check in representative, room service, etc. They even made my son’s birthday special with treats sent to the room and a handwritten note! We especially enjoyed chatting with the doorman, Sam H., on our arrival and departure!
One of the best hotels that we have ever stayed at! From the time we drove up to valet the car until we left everyone was so welcoming and beyond helpful. The location was perfect and the room... the reimagined King was stunning! They also are cat friendly and our little guy loved this place.

The staff is great. I believe we were around 300 people. The group breakfasts and lunches were both very tasty and the nicest , friendly staff. They were working very hard and doing a great job.
I highly recommend the hotel for a business conference and I would come here for a leisure trip as well.

Great stay this past weekend - loved the renovated one bedroom corner suite. Club lounge staff remains and the food is an upgrade over years past. Love the addition of the house car service.
The Charleston Place is well-located in the heart of downtown Charleston - within walking distance (or a short Uber ride) to most restaurants and attractions. The hotel itself is undergoing a massive "reimagining" and already looks gorgeous. We stayed in a "reimagined" double room, and it satisfied every need - very comfortable and spacious. The staff is incredible - they greet you by name and anticipate your needs. Be sure to try out the BMW Sign & Drive service - it's a complimentary loaner car for up to 3 hours. And the complimentary hotel car drop-off service is a convenient and luxurious way to get to your dining reservation.

Lovely hotel with an amazing staff. The hotel is updated but with old southern charm. The staff is beyond hospitable, the location is fantastic and the rooms were great. Ben Edwards (bellman) and Joe (front desk) were both very helpful and kind. 10/10 experience would highly recommend.

The staff were outstanding so warm and welcoming. Unfortunately we were to be in club room but due water damage they put us on the 2 floor with fans running. We should have told us upon arrival and not charged us the high price for a room we didn’t get and having to deal with running fans and electrical cords.
The staff Sandy on the 4th floor made our stay nice. Our bell hop who got the our luggage upon arrival and leaving was absolutely fantastic. I wish I had written his name down.
Elliot, valet parking with TripAdvisor was friendly and so careful with our car and put water in the car for our trip.
Great experience! Sam H. was a joy - and all of our servers went the extra mile! The food was fantastic- especially brunch! We will be back very soon!
Kevin was very knowledgeable and warm as a chauffeur. He graciously helped us with our many suitcases and taught us about the area in a warm manner.
