If the hotel received a good clean and all the windows were washed it would be an ideal hotel.
Pros:

Location and friendly welcome.

Cons:

Very grubby and dusty. Windows in dire need of a clean.
Mattress had uncomfortable springs and was sagging. No mattress protector. Flat pillows.

If I were to be in the area again I’d definitely book this hotel again,
Pros:

The gentleman on the front desk was very polite and explained everything at check in perfectly, plenty of free parking, large rooms, clean and tidy.
Super close to Marchants Hill pgl site where was son was staying.

Cons:

The guttering was blocked above the window in my room and during the overnight rain I experienced, the sound of the rain was quite loud.

Horrid
Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

it was dirty there was handprints on the wall. There was dust and stains in the carpet of the room. The bathroom was extremely dirty and the shower was poor. I have never stayed in a hotel this dirty before. The floor made noises everytime you stood on it. There was cobwebs on the ceilings.

Cons:

All the chipped paint work, the hot water tap did not turn off properly. Windows didn't close properly. Shower head had plastic bag tied round it to stop bracket slipping down. Light over basin did not work. Hand soap and cream dispensers really old and clogged.

Would recommend
Pros:

The hotel staff were lovely. Very helpful and friendly. I liked the size of my room and the fact it had a bidet as well as a bath and toilet in it.

The breakfast was excellent with a good choice.

Cons:

The poor look of it from the outside and no comfy chairs in the back garden.

I didn't like the pillows, which were not comfy.and quite flat.

Stay in May
Pros:

The location was very good to access the Punchbowl

Cons:

The poor standard of decor, paint flaking and handles falling off. In the bathroom there was a continuous sulphur smell. The basin had no plug and the shower just didn't work, which was frustrating.
It just seems like a great hotel that has had no maintenance or upgrade for many years.
Very concerned about scam websites for this hotel when trying to boo

Excellent, but hotel needs updating
Pros:

The location was beautiful . The staff were friendly and efficient. The breakfast was delicious.

Cons:

No breakfast until 10am on my day of departure, so had to set off without breakfast.
Parts of the hotel needed decorating, and felt a bit uncared for.

Pros:

The breakfast was really good, well cooked and plenty of it. The staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. The location is fabulous and with a bit of updating and a lick of paint, the hotel could be fabulous!

Cons:

The shower in one of the rooms we booked didn’t work properly, and the water stopped at one point.

The food was excellent and the staff were also excellent.
Pros:

The dining room and bar and breakfast room were excellent.

Cons:

The bedroom was very very tired, needed a new carpet. The light fixtures were very wobbly and the bathroom basin had a large crack in it. The windows needed a good clean and very rusty.
