Great location, friendly staff, room was upgraded for free with 2 complimentary drinks for the sky lounge. reception staff are brilliant as always. we always choose to stay here when we visit
This is a great hotel in an excellent city centre location would highly recommend. We stayed in a canal view room which was lovely and comfortable. Breakfast was also very good with lots of choice available.
Absolutely AMAZING stay. Not only was customer service top notch, but the rooms are immaculate, along with all public areas.
Nothing to fault, room was perfect, bathroom was very spacious.
Location 10/10, right by the train station (literally 1 minute walk as you get off the train), only 5 minute walk into the City Centre, and surrounded by cute little bars. The hotel being on the canal is also a massive plus, as very picturesque while you’re having brekkie!
Big shoutout to Nancy on reception, she was nothing but lovely and attentive, always smiling.
Will 100% our go to hotel for staying in Leeds.
Only thing I would say is that they take £100 pre-auth which I couldn’t really afford.
Amazing!!!!!
I had a room up at the top of the hotel with a fine view down onto Leeds Station. A walk through the Dark Arches had me in the centre of the city in about 10 minutes.
The hotel was quiet, comfortable and well-located. Public rooms were fine for business meetings. Breakfast was okay though only average by Hilton standards.
The Sky Bar on the 13th floor is worth a visit too. There’s also on excellent Ossett Brewery bar just outside the hotel plus a convenient off-licence for water, etc.
When I left to catch a train to Liverpool I was standing on the platform 5 minutes after exiting the hotel thanks to the rear entrance to Leeds Station.
I’ll be staying again
We had a lovely overnight stay at the DoubleTree Hilton in Leeds city center. The hotel was impeccably clean, the room was comfortable, and the team even prepared an early morning breakfast for us to take along. We truly appreciated their thoughtful service!
We stayed here for 1 night to attend a charity dinner in Leeds.
We were upgraded to a suite! The room was incredibly spacious and well set out.
This is a great hotel, conveniently located - we even bought a platform ticket to get through the station as the weather was inclement!
Breakfast the next morning was good, a good selection and attentive staff. My only complaint would be that the coffee was undrinkable!
I would 100% stay here again, particularly if upgraded!
Nice hotel in a stunning canal side location. Rooms were very nice & I did not hear the railway despite being on same level with it. Breakfast was decent BUT there is being efficient and there’s being intrusive. One morning the server car and took my plate while I was still chewing my food over it. I had a mouthful so couldn’t even respond to the “are you done?” Question. A little too eager if you ask me but other than that it was a nice hotel overall
Sky lounge nice place to go. arrived with family really busy in there nice guy on front desk (ray) got us a table really good customer service from him went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Had a good laugh and a joke with him when we was leaving highly recommend coming here we will definitely be returning thanks (ray)
Excellent stay at lovely hotel. Mathew front office was most professional and accommodating at all times. Great breakfast and great staff.
First time staying here. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and our anniversary. We were greeted warmly and given warm cookies and vouchers for a free drink in the sky lounge, which was a lovely surprise.
The room was a king room overlooking the canal. I emailed ahead for a high room and near the lift as my husband has mobility issues and the room allocated was great.
We had drinks in the sky lounge and then went to the bars right next to the hotel.
Later on we had a cocktail tree in the sky lounge and that was fab.
Really enjoyed our stay here and look forward to staying again.
Nice hotel with lovely rooms. Trip spoiled by the security staff in the sky lounge. While having a drink at the colleague in the sky lounge we were informed that they were closing and we had 10-15 mins to drink up. The security staff members attitude was very abrupt but we just dismissed it and said ok. He then came back rather aggressively saying I told you that you had 10 to 15 mins to leave now leave. I called him out on his attitude and it only got worse. I have stayed over in numerous Hilton’s throughout the world and I have never been spoken to by a member of staff like that. Will definitely think twice about picking this hotel in the future.
Afternoon tea is normally good but has gone downhill. Place look like it needed vacuuming food all over floor around most tables. Service was really slow and when food arrived sandwiches on ends bread was dry. Not what u expect from Hilton so disappointing as was a voucher from our friends for my 50th.
We booked a night away and from checking in (free cookie was a great treat) to leaving it was a great experience. We booked the bottomless in the sky bar and the quality of the cocktails were very good. The food chicken waffles spiced syrup and katsu curry & chips were very nice too. The staff were excellent Toby was great explaining the breads and flavoured butters, which were really good and a change from having a heavy starter!! Great chatting with Toby about near by bars etc. Nicole was a great server too always on hand to order our drinks and again lovely to chat to about recommendations near by. Our room was very clean and spacious plenty of tea, coffee and water. Breakfast was very good. Great selection of serve yourself hot and cold food and a lovely menu to order from. We ordered the porridge with cinnamon and mixed berries which we would highly recommend. We didn’t catch the servers name but she never stopped working constantly walking around cleaning, setting tables and taking orders. She had piercings on her face and a trendy mullet haircut!! Can’t wait to visit again this hotel will definitely be our go to in the future!!
Stayed here for a night out in Leeds, having stayed here a few times before. We really like the hotel and location, next to the pretty canal on one side and the station on the other. So handy for exploring the city centre too. Very friendly and comfortable hotel. Rooms are nicely decorated, quiet, comfy bed, clean and well-appointed bathroom. Sky bar also worth a visit on the top floor with a good selection of cocktails. Breakfast buffet was very good quality, with lots to choose from. We will be back!
So - this is a comfortable and well appointed hotel. The public areas, lifts and corridors are all in good order. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, a decent sized bathroom, a large TV and complimentary water in the room.
I had breakfast (paid for separately @ £20) which was a good selection of everything you might expect, with takeaway coffee/ tea cups too - which is a nice touch.
Stayed here from January 1st - January 3rd for my partners birthday, we've stayed here before and decided to return, the hotel & staff are great, hotel has a great location, we stayed on the 8th floor with a canal view, the room & views were great, even had sky sports in our room which was an added bonus, we booked a Bottomless Brunch in the sky lounge on the 13th floor, food & drinks & service were all great....Special mention to Oscar who was a very friendly and nice man who kept us topped up with drinks and was always on hand for a little chat, all in all this was another great stay, and we will definitely be back
Awful experience . New years I had to dash home unexpectedly and took the room key . Reception refused to give my partner a spare despite speaking to me on the phone. She was left hysterical and vulnerable in the lobby for a distressing amount of time. Shocking service will never use Hilton again
Really great hotel right at the start of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal (though they don't tell you that, I only discovered it by accident). Well located next to Leeds station and with stunning views over the station - I asked for a high room with a view over the station and got room 1126. They said no-one asks for a view over the station, but I did!
The hotel is well appointed and the staff were very attentive. Room was comfortable and very quiet.
Breakfast is well spec'd although the pillars in the dining room get in the way of the circulation. Not a lot I guess they can do about that.
Overall, great stay!
Travelling solo with a baby isn’t always easy, but the staff at Doubletree Leeds made it a brilliant trip.
The check-in experience was lovely - the ladies on reception were friendly and helpful. I parked at the hotel, which was easy and convenient.
The rooms have been re-decorated since my last stay a few years ago and they are nicely done. Very comfortable bed, and interestingly my baby slept better here than at home!
While waiting in reception in the evening we got chatting to two more lovely members of staff who made me feel welcome, and again were very helpful.
The highlight was breakfast, where a brilliant server (Afaraj - apologies if I’ve spelt that incorrectly) helped entertain my baby while I finished my breakfast.
The warmth of the staff really made this trip a positive one, and I would happily recommend Doubletree by Hilton Leeds to family and friends.
I had not stayed at this hotel for a while but needed a place to stay in Leeds after a business event. Excellent experience at check-in, Diamond status recognised and upgraded to King Suite.
Room was lovely and spacious, very comfortable bed and complimentary water, cookie and chocolate provided. Room service was tasty and arrived promptly.
Breakfast was OK but a little chaotic due to the layout and being quite busy. Food quality was average and not at the level of the Leeds City Hilton. (Not enough to detract from a 5 star rating however - room and service just too good!)
Great job Doubletree team!
