Pros:

The booking was wrong. I thought I was reserving a suite, but ended up reserving a studio. Hotels. Com did help with that. I woke up and found little black bugs crawling over the desk in the room. Then a spider ran across the floor in the bathroom.

My stay was ok. The hotel is in a nice area. I was running behind schedule and I was unaware that they cancel reservations if you do not check in before 6pm. I’m glad I thought to call. The front desk was able to check me in which was great.

However, I felt cramped in my room. The room was small which was unexpected. The chair in the room was very uncomfortable so there was only an option for me to sit on the bed.


On check out day, I get a knock at my door at 10:39 asking me what time I was leaving. Excuse me?! It was the housekeeper. She had a scarf tied around her head looking and speaking very unprofessional. I told her I was leaving at check out time which was noon. She told me that check out was at 11am. I know when I booked my hotel, newly 3 weeks earlier, check out time stared noon ( that was the reason I chose this hotel). I called the front desk and they confirmed that check out was at noon. When I checked out I told the person at the desk that I was lied to by the housekeeper regarding the check out time. She told me that they “just” changed the check out time. How?! I booked my hotel 3 weeks ago so the housekeeper wasn’t aware of the new check out time from 3 weeks ago? No one informed her? Least to say, I will not stay at this hotel again for the unnecessary disturbance before my scheduled check out time.

We liked the property but when we checked out, i was really surprised by the cost. I never spend that much for a one night stay when we're on the road. But i couldn't find my original reservation to see if the total was correct. I may have made a mistake when i reserved the room because i we just needed a basic room for one night and there are many cheaper options. There was nothing I could do but pay and leave. Once we're back home, ill try and find the information.

I booked and paid through Expedia but the hotel charged $131 on my card. They deny the charges but my bank statement clearly shows the transaction as complete. ...having to dispute the charges now...smh!
