Excellent all round
Vriendelijke ontvangst en de suggestie om daar het avondeten te nemen
Food excellent. Room good and bathroom great. Only problem was stairs and no lifts ! Other problem was that we could not work out how to turn any heating on and it was rather cool.
Stairs & heating - or lack of it.
Absolutely fantastic experience! I highly recommend! Comfort, clean and elegant! Exceptional bedding!
Lovely hotel in Lauder. Comfortable room. Meal in restaurant was excellent. Free parking on street outside.
Hotel is on A68 and the road is busy at peak times.
Hotel room was clean and well presented
Only thing was the dinner portions, very good large portions however seems like more veg etc than taking the effect off the main when presented In our case monkfish was dround out by the amount of extra veg on the plate rather than the veg to put on the menu with it. Small criticism but still good for the money.
VERY PLESANT STAY
Asked 3 times on Saturday to settle bill before leaving on Sunday morning.Still had saturday evening meal to add to bill. Felt like they were being very pushy when room was pre paid and at that point only outstanding was 2 bar meals
Location.
Only a Velux in the room.
Room was cosy and staff were great
Nothing
The Black Bull was a stop over for us on the way home to the midlands. Our room had been recently converted and furbished and we slept amazingly well, being behind the main building away from the road. The food was delicious, both our evening meal and breakfast. All the staff were friendly and accommodating and appeared happy to be there, which isn't
There was no pole in the room to open/close the velux window or blind. We had to stand on a chair and manually do it.
Very good
Bacon a bit hard and egg yolk was solid
