Rooms were clean. Fantastic food. Staff were friendly and helpful.
They loved dogs and gave them a sausage at breakfast. Lots of different beaches to go to.

Very friendly and helpful staff nothing was too much trouble for anyone. The accommodation was very good everything you could need was thought of.
We had our dog with us and he was a big consideration in our plans. The Lastra had a very good reputation for being dog friendly and it certainly lived up to its expectations. A lovely touch was a present waiting for our dog with treats and a toy and at breakfast he was given his own two sausages. All the staff made a real fuss of him which absolutely made our stay so much nicer too.
We had a main meal there and breakfasts which were all very tasty and with generous portions.

We were walmly welcomed for our 7th visit by Adrian who gave us a free upgrade to the best room in the hotel which was very clean & comfortable ❤️
The full Welsh breakfast was of its usual excellent quality & our dog enjoyed her free breakfast sausage.
Sadly, I fell ill on the second day & had to return home in order to visit our local hospital.
However, I have already re-booked for some days in June.
There is literally nothing to dislike....the hotel, the staff & food quality is of the highest standard.

Very nice hotel and staff great location if you want peace and quiet scenic stay....if you want shops and pubs and restaurants ( takeaways) ...and beaches they are all there for a short drive away .The food was spot on at Lastra farm and the rooms are brilliant...everything you need is in them . I couldn't fault it 😊👍👌
The only downfall is it's a quiet stay...if you want shops and pubs and the beach you will have to drive. But for me and the missus it was good as she has back problems and can't really do alot ...and we had our dog with us which was nice very dog friendly place 😊

Food was outstanding and reasonably priced. Served piping hot and with generously sized portions.
Dogs are made welcome, instead of being tolerated.
Some nice touches, notably the individual miniature bottle of milk in the fridge. Elaine, Adrian and their staff have clearly given some thought to make for a truly enjoyable and memorable stay.
The only real downside is that the location is on an unlit country road, which I did expect given the hotel being situated outside the town of Amlwch. However, torches are available if one wishes to take the dog for his/her final walk before bedtime.

The cooked breakfast on the first morning was very dry, perhaps been reheated in the microwave but on the second morning it was perfect.
