Would stay for a month if we could!
Pros:

Our hosts were the best. Exceeding our expectations in all categories. We had dinner two evenings are were very impressed.

Cons:

Had difficulty finding the parking and main entrance.

Quel privilège de pouvoir y passer une nuit...
Pros:

Exceptionnel — bien plus qu’une nuit d’hôtel, une véritable expérience.
On se sent privilégié d’accéder à ce lieu chargé d’histoire, restauré avec une grande justesse : pas d’esbrouffe, mais des matériaux authentiques et des lignes sobres en harmonie avec les vieilles pierres.
Tout est pensé avec soin pour s’y sentir bien : un confort remarquable, et un petit déjeuner généreux, faut avec des produits locaux, parfaitement en accord avec l’esprit des lieux.
Nous avons passé une nuit de grand vent dans notre chambre en hauteur, avec Sorano, magnifique et austère, sous nos fenêtres — une expérience hors du temps.

"This is a dream"

Soggiorno da sogno! Dormire in una fortezza medievale è una esperienza indimenticabile. Il personale è meraviglioso: Silvia, Cristiano, i ragazzi della sala...tutti ti fanno sentire come a casa. Fatevi un giro per l'antica cantina con Cristiano, e assaggierete dei vini favolosi. La colazione stupenda!!! Dolce e salato a km 0, freschissimi e deliziosi, tutto artigianale e scelto con cura. La camera pulitissima con una vista su Sorano unica al mondo. Torneremo sicuramente al più presto. Grazie davvero per il lavoro che fate. Siete i numeri Uno. Il mio amico americano che mi ha accompagnato durante il tour in Toscana mi ha detto: "this is a dream, that"s it"...

מלון פשוט מדהים. שקט ונעים. הצוות המדהים: כריסטיאנו, סילבי ופביאנה היו פשוט מקסימים, אדיבים. ארוחת הבוקר טובה ומספקת.

Cons:

אהבנו הכל רק שיש לשים לב שלא מותאם לנכים. אין מעלית והיה צריך לטפס עם המזוודה במדרגות צרות. שמו גם יותר מדי ריח של בושם. אז לא מתאים לרגישים.

Un posto da sogno
Pros:

Struttura incantevole e tenuta alla perfezione e pulitissima. Colazione ottima con buonissimi prodotti locali. Un bistrot interno con una chef di ottimo livello. Escursioni organizzate dall’hotel con professionisti molto validi.

Best hotel entry ever!
Pros:

The entrance and facility is stunning. Not just a fortress but a stunning location above old town. Hotel dining was excellent and creative. 3 min walk into center of old town, parking was easy and free.

Cons:

Beds were two singles with a foam insert between them, Subpar for the facility. Handicap accessible shower left quite a bit of water on the floor.

Unique setting and lovely stay!
Pros:

Magnificent unique setting with professional, friendly and welcoming reception staff. We dined at their Enoristro’ restaurant, beautifully prepared local delicacies and excellent service.
Bedroom was comfortable with a gorgeous view. We enjoyed a generous tasty breakfast with a great choice of sweet and savoury foods. We highly recommend a stay at the Hotel della Fortezza

Cons:

No bar area to have a relaxing aperitivo inside, only the restaurant dining room was available (same table where the meal would be served) - the bad weather meant tables could not be set out in courtyard.
