We enjoyed our 24 hours at this hotel before flying home after visiting the islands. The staff were wonderful and we had a good experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I also had the best fillet mignon i have ever had at their rooftop restaurant. worth going just for that.
There was construction work over the road battering large logs which was soooooo loud. Not at all the fault of the hotel but so very loud and very annoying when trying to relax poolside. Rooms are a little tired.
Wir sind anstatt morgens spät Abends angekommen. Flug wurde leider annuliert. Sodass wir erst nach 0000h angekommen sind. Es gab keinen Rabatt. Da ich online bereits bezahlt habe. Am Folgetag um 11.00h wieder ausgecheckt. Aber sonst im 9 Stockwerk super ruhig. Konnten den Pool auch nicht nutzen. Von 06.00-18.00h ist der offen. Schade nun für solch.einen kurzen Aufenthalt würde ich es nicht mehr buchen..da hätte ich etwas ohne Pool und günstiger gebucht.

Nothing was very disappointed. I complained and nobody even replied. Was no Shangri-La standard and was overpriced. Smell was terrible.
Location
We arrived on the morning of Christmas Eve to spend one night before transferring to an island. Our plan was to relax by the rooftop pool in the afternoon, followed by dinner at the hotel. Unfortunately, this was not possible due to a group of approximately seven local girls, estimated to be between 10–14 years old, who were using the pool for several hours. They were running, screaming at a very high pitch, splashing other guests, and generally behaving disruptively, while their mothers sat nearby and did not intervene.
The noise became unbearable, and after around 30 minutes we were forced to retreat back to our room, as did several other guests. Due to the lack of a peaceful atmosphere, we decided to look for dining options nearby and walked five minutes down the street to the newly opened Barceló Nasandhura hotel, which has a beautiful rooftop restaurant and a 2-for-1 sunset drinks hour.
When we returned to Jen after dinner, the same group of children and mothers were exiting the lift, with some of the fathers waiting outside on motorbikes to take the children home. This confirmed that the hotel allows resident locals to use the pool facilities, even when it significantly impacts the experience of paying guests.
Overall, this was a disappointing start to what was meant to be a relaxing stay.
Gym, pool, breakfast and staff were AMAZING.
Property looks very old and room are not very well maintained. Cracked floors, old furniture, in general very average quality for the price.

Property is really old, its situated in the middle of buildings. The carpet in the hotel is not clean as it smells along the corridor. Rooms are ok but needs repainting as it has stains. Honestly it does not carry the honor of Shangri La and its not value for money. Dont get carried away with the pictures as the pool is extremely small as well.
