Lovely B&B
Pros:

Room was comfortable, well equipped and spacious. A basic breakfast was provided before breakfast service began as I was leaving early. Staff were excellent throughout.

Cons:

An observation rather than a criticism. The mattress was extremely soft, though it was comfortable.

A comfortable and restful overnight stay after a long drive.
Pros:

Good to have a decent-sized single room, and a comfortable bed too. Beautiful decor throughout and lots of artistic interest. A hotel - and a village - with a history. I enjoyed a walk round Netherclay Community Woodlands, recommended by the hotel staff.

Cons:

The garden has potential and is obviously work in progress, with a generously sized seating area.

The room was very nice but very small with poor ventilation. The TV blocked the window which only slightly opened. No Milk for morning coffee.

Disappointing could of been so good
Pros:

Beautiful old building, excellent breakfast and dinner

Cons:

Absolutely no effort made to make stay comfortable during hottest June ever - no sun umbrellas in garden, no bottled water or fridges in bedroom
, no fans or air conditioning anywhere in the building.Badly stocked bar. No choice and only just able to have a gin and tonic., due to lack of tonic and only 1 gin, no sign of anything more interesting. Offered Sauvignon blanc when we asked for two glasses of white wine. but then could only provide Chardonnay - not sure what would have happened if we asked for a whole bottle rather than just a glass! When I tried to mention that a fan in the room would of been helpful as we had spent an unbearably hot night, the owner told me it was one of their cooler rooms and had previously been complimented! It is a great shame as with just a few simple tweaks this could be a lovely hotel, but due to the extreme heat and no efforts to make our stay more comfortable we had to cut our stay short. Dinner arrangements are a little unusual with the restaurant only providing a chinese takeaway menu albeit served in very pleasant restaurant environment and it was very good quality and enjoyable so that not the problem . It the lack of even very basic things like water and fans in rooms.I dont normally complain but felt so uncomfortable had to mention
I understand nobody can prevent heatwaves we are hot in our own homes but simple precautions like ensuring air flow in rooms and providing hydration would of made all the difference.

Do not go
Pros:

Nothing to like

Cons:

The owners attitude. We had made it very clear on our booking we wanted a 3pm arrival. When we arrived we were accused of entering the reception without permission, the room wasn't ready as requested and this was important to us, we were told to go for a walk until the room was ready. The photos on the website need updating
