Great animation team! We enjoyed it a lot. They had so much energy, even on rainy days. Lion King show was really fantastic

The resort looked amazing and it was close to the sea. Receptionists were helpful and friendly.Atmosphere was too good at night and rooms was beuatiful.

Our experience at this hotel was very disappointing from start to finish.

We lost £400 for the first two nights of our booking, even though we physically could not be there due to flight cancellations caused by ground handler strikes — completely outside of our control. To make matters worse, the hotel changed its cancellation policy just two days before the strike, ensuring they could still charge us despite the circumstances. This felt extremely unfair and opportunistic.

On top of that, our original all-inclusive booking was altered through Expedia, adding more confusion and frustration.

Trying to make the best of the situation, we continued our stay for 3 nights (instead of the original 5) and booked another hotel, Grupotel, for the remaining 2 nights — which, by contrast, was a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend.

Unfortunately, during our 3 nights at this hotel, the negative experiences continued:

Because of our different wristbands, we were constantly questioned, given conflicting rules, and even embarrassed in front of other guests. For example, a staff member shouted across a crowd that we couldn’t eat in a certain area — instead of discreetly approaching us. Staff repeatedly came over to check our wristbands as if trying to catch us out, which created a very uncomfortable atmosphere.

The pool area was overcrowded, with all sunbeds taken. When we finally found two beds, there were no umbrellas available. Staff simply said “sorry,” which was surprising for a hotel of this size not to have spares.

On our last day, my wife returned to our room in the morning only to find our key no longer worked, even though check-out wasn’t until 12pm. Reception said it was a “system error,” but the timing felt suspicious and frustrating.

Before leaving, we requested to speak with a manager. Only then were we told: “If we had spoken at the start, we could have given you all-inclusive.” This was incredibly frustrating — given everything we had been through, and the fact that we were still charged £400 for nights we didn’t stay, this should have been offered from the beginning without us having to chase. The manager did eventually offer us a paid lunch for the inconvenience, but it felt like too little, too late.

Overall, we left feeling let down both by the hotel and by Expedia. We paid for services we didn’t receive, through no fault of our own, and endured poor treatment during the stay we did manage to have. Yes, we accept that sometimes things go wrong, but a hotel of this standard should handle situations with more fairness, compassion, and professionalism. I hope management take this as constructive feedback and put better systems in place to avoid treating guests this way in future.

We had a wonderful stay at Playa Garden Hotel in the Alcudia gulf. The location is stunning, with easy access to the beach and a relaxed atmosphere perfect for unwinding. The facilities are well-kept and the service is excellent. The hotel’s ambassador, Katarzyna is remarkable. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile, making us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. Thanks to her and the whole team, our holiday was both comfortable and memorable. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience at the Playa Garden hotel in Majorca. Wish we were staying for longer! Hotel facilities fantastic - lovely outdoor pools, kids pool and indoor pool and spa. Food great - restaurant quality and friendly staff especially Angel! The cleaning staff are very professional and helpful - we had Nadja in block 5 and she was so sweet with the children and gave a great clean too! Location of hotel worked well for us - right on the beach. We will be back!

Really nice hotel with nice entertainment only food could be better. For the rest cleaning in pool bar could be improved a lot of bird poo. Staff is really good important body and Szilvia rosi

Perfect place for families with younger children. The pool and activities were amazing. And super close to an amazing beach. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment, and also paid for an upgrade for an apartment with a garden. This was the best decision ever! It came with sunbeds and was so close to the main pool. Definitely recommend this to type or upgrade. The hotel is also closely located to a small shopping strip where you can find supermarkets and touristy shops. It was a lovely stay and perfect for our family.

Our Favourite Place – 10+ Years of Wonderful Memories

We’ve been coming to Hotel Playa Garden for over 10 years now and it honestly just gets better every time. It’s such a lovely, peaceful place with beautiful surroundings, and the staff are always amazing. We first came for my Nan’s 60th birthday—and this year we’re coming back for her 70th! It’s become a real family tradition and our kids have grown up with this place as a big part of their memories.

Everyone working here goes above and beyond. A big thank you to Andre, who always greets us with a smile and makes us feel so welcome, and to Jessica at reception who is so kind and professional. Catalina, the manager, always finds time for guests and makes sure everything runs smoothly. And Lorenzo, who seems to be everywhere at once, always checking in and keeping things just right.

We especially want to mention Señor Nicolau. He helped build the hotel and you can just feel how much he cares. He’s old-school in the best possible way and brings so much heart to the place. You can see younger staff learning from him, and it really shows.

We’ve had so many great moments here—the evening shows with Jamal and the team, the fantastic food (we always eat way too much!), and just the overall feeling of being really well looked after.

We can’t recommend it enough. Playa Garden is such a special place for families and we’ll keep coming back as long as we can. Thank you again to everyone there!

We were very disappointed in our choice of hotel in Playa De Muro. We feel not only misled but alienated by the hotel itself.
The description given by the website states this hotel is suitable for couples. We both completely disagree. The hotel is entirely focused on families. We were one couple of around 3/4 out of around 800 people. This had a knock on effect with the noise volume, availability of loungers for adults, pool capacity and the buffet breakfast area. The satellite TV had 3 English speaking channels (2 were news channels, the other playing 30 year old series from 80s-90s) We weren’t looking to spend our holiday watching TV but one English speaking film channel out of the 60+ German speaking channels would have been nice to watch in the evening!
We were not informed that you were issued with only 1 pool towel per stay. If we wished any more/clean towels it cost €1 per towel. Never have we heard of this before.
The buffet breakfast was entirely aimed at European/German palates. The staff/entertainment all addressed us in German first. The pool snack bar area was disgusting. Flies everywhere on a buffet that lay for hours. The staff in the pool bar area were unbelievably rude, dismissive and again spoke to us in Spanish or German.
It was a miracle if we managed to get a sun lounger. People were laying towels etc at 6am then leaving them unattended for hours while they went to the beach. No one policed this.
Extremely disappointed in this choice of hotel.
We were hoping to have a relaxing, peaceful break away but unfortunately this hotel completely spoiled that.

AAA+++ Experience from start to finish. Fantastic food & facilities - beautiful pools. Right on the sandy beach with incredible sea views. Excellent food & kind & friendly staff. Indoor & outdoor pools & lots of family friendly activities. Don’t hesitate!!

Nice hotel, good food, lovely kids club with nice activities and the entire staff was very kind.
I can recommend that hotel and if you want to have a very calm room, try to reserve a room on the opposite of pool side in building 5-8.
Outside Pool was a little bit too cold for kids to stay longer, but October is on the other side not that hot, which is great.
The positive thing is the indoor pool where you can warm up and be able to train swimming with smaller kids

Un hôtel super pour les familles avec enfants. Les piscines intérieures et extérieures sont géniales, la mer à deux pas, eaux cristallines et peu profondes.
Le buffet est excellent, diversifié.
Les chambres sont parfaitement aménagées.
Le personnel est adorable, le personnel de ménage, les serveurs, l’accueil, tous étaient adorables avec notre petit garçon. Merci à tous pour ces fabuleuses vacances !

Good amenities overall and lots of space on site. Swimming pools were very cold and many of sunshade umbrellas were broken. Disappointing we were unable to access the sun loungers and pool area on the sun deck

This was such a great trip! The weather was perfect, the food was great, the staff warm and welcoming! Our daughter is two and a half and she had the time of her life, she loved the baby play group and the kids pool. I cannot say enough about how much we enjoy this location.
This was our fourth stay and we will definitely be back!

Gorgeous resort, friendly staff. Nice food, plenty of options for adults and kids. All inclusive drinks are better than other resorts we have stayed at but not the best.
We had a private pool room which was stunning. Air con wasn’t the strongest but that’s our only niggle.

Our only problem was the other guests. We travelled with our 6 year old autistic son who was treated like a circus act by other guests. The hotel is full of German and Polish guests, very very few English. They stared, pushed and were not kind at all to our son or our family. We didn’t feel comfortable watching the evening entertainment with the other guests. However the entertainment we did see in the first few nights was great.
