Great place to stay in Ashland
Pros:

I have stayed here a number of times and each time I am impressed by the friendliness of the staff. This last visit they were exceptional! My room was spotless and I appreciate the hardwood floors. I would especially like to mention that the Stratford Inn has put a lot of care into some eco and water saving amenities that really matter to me: real coffee cups (and good coffee) and glasses in the room, filtered water available to fill bottles in the reception area, and notes to the guests about other methods they are doing to help offset water usage by travelers. No waste from plastic bottles or travel toiletries. I wish other hotels would implement these practices.

Pleasant stay, room was comfortable and location was good. Good value for the price.
Pros:

Breakfast was included, pleasant room with plenty of tables, not a big selection of food, just breads, muffins, yogurt with toppings, oatmeal, cereals.

Cons:

A bigger selection of food, however, they may not have a kitchen so hot food may not be an option for this hotel\

Road trip to Ashland
Pros:

Location is great. Breakfast is good (included) a good variety. They have pet friendly rooms, $35 per night. I would stay at Stratford Inn again.

Stratford Inn
Pros:

Good location as it is close to downtown Ashland. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Our room and kitchenette was clean though some outside window cleaning woud give for a clearer view of the beautiful hills. Free parking, ample breakfast, a Safeway next door and food co-op a 10 minute walk away. Great value, quiet at night, and a quick walk to downtown.

Pros:

The pool and hot tub were great. Hotel staff were friendly and very helpful.

Cons:

My family and I were sneezing the whole time we stayed at the hotel. I don't know if it was the dust, but it smelled very musty in the room with not great air circulation.

The breakfast was a joke. Only offered soggy oatmeal in a crockpot and a yogurt bar. No other options were provided. Very disappointed and left hungry.

Loved staying at the Stratford Inn and it will be in our regular rotation when we stay in Ashland!
Pros:

This property is an older one, but well equipped, clean, and comfortable. We enjoyed the location, which is within easy walking distance to downtown Ashland shopping and plays, and is conveniently located near grocery shopping and restaurants. The value for the accommodations is unbeatable!
