The hotel is a little funky, but in a good way. Early check- in was not a problem. We could park under the room with shade right next to the hotel door and lift which made luggage very easy. Lots of interesting things, Shakespeare momentos, to look at, cozy, mock tudor, stained glass window on hallway, lamps
As soon as we entered the room we were surprised at the attention you detail; the toilet paper had been formed into a rose. The towels had been folded with frills. The stonesink was stained with age around the plug but was clean. Plenty of space for toiletry bags. They have 6? dispensers for soap, lotion, shampoo,, conditioner, that all worked well giving generous amounts on each pump. More towels than we needed. The shower was powerful and hot, the way I like it. Tub was a little slippy despite the tread, but has a bar to grab. Generously-sized microwave and fridge. A/C worked well and quiet; it was very hot outside The whole room was very practical and comfortable. We slept well. Cleaning staff seemed to be always available, constantly cleaning, in case you needed anything. Breakfast was overlooking pool, nice yoghurt with blueberries', strawberries, nuts, pumpkin seeds etc. No excess of finicky wrappings, Pool temp was warm, towels attractively displayed etc. TV worked fine
We aim to return!
No complaints-all good
Great hotel. Rooms and bathroom very clean. Lots of available parking and close enough to walk to OSF. Staff are friendly. I would stay here again.
Great staff and location
The property is very tired
The price for the tired property
The breakfast food was okay - nothing special. the room was a good size, but lacked a bedside table on one side of the bed. I like the hominess of the inn, but it needs updating in some important ways.
Staff is clearly inadequately trained to hand incidents such as a fall when something is not properly maintained - such as a tub lacking a safety strip that resulted in a fall. When advised of the problem, staff did not even ask whether there was an injury as a result. The incident report was also poorly written and incomplete, not noting that I had reinjured my previously sprained ankle, hit my head and tweaked my knee.
Very well-maintained. Room was spacious.

They had a nice breakfast with yogurt, blueberries, strawberries, oatmeal, cold cereal, coffee, and toast. The room was clean, comfortable, and within walking distance of downtown. There was plenty of free parking.
Location. Parking near and got a covered spot. Could walk into town center or university.
Very helpful when we found our party grew to 3 instead of 2 people. They moved us with no problem.
Pool was heated and great location, across from a Safeway
Room is a bit tight but comfortable
Waking distance to downtown. Great interior decor with theater posters. But all that was compensated by the nice staff and overall vibe of the inn. Recommend it for sure.
One bathroom drain was not smooth and AC unit was a bit noisy.
Staff very friendly especially with a late check in. Was a seamless check in process and got to our room quickly. Cute things nearby (lots of coffee shops!) BEST PART, dog friendly.
We were hoping to do a later check out because we travelled in late the night before. Unfortunately, we could not be accommodated on that request so had to leave by 12. No other meeting spaces in the hotel.
The pool is unmatched, the healthy breakfast the best best best. The staff is stellar, from Jacob, Sarabi and Kim at the desk, to Reilly and Cindy at breakfast and all the rest. We walked to the theatre in less than 15 minutes.
I witnessed someone damage his own pickup trying to park in the limited underground parking. It would make sense I think to label these spaces for Compact Cars only, as I found it only large enough to park comfortably in my compact vehicle.
The property is located across the street from a grocery store. It is also centrally located in downtown Ashland.
I have a limited, non-wheelchair mobility need. My first issue with the property was a lack of accessible parking, and the parking spots were very narrow, which prevented my door from opening enough to allow me in or out. Next, I had requested a first-floor room due to my needs. The room assigned to me was obviously a pet-friendly room and smelled strongly of dogs and cleaner, as though housekeeping did what they could to hide the smell. But worst of all, someone had used an oil-based cleaner on the linoleum floor (and bathtub, it turns out) in the bathroom, and I slipped as soon as I walked in (fortunately, catching myself). I contacted the front desk and was given another room, but this one was on the second floor, quite a distance from the elevator. Although they have an array of cold breakfast foods, there is nothing other than fruit for someone who has a keto or gluten-free diet (no protein or hot foods). It was a very disappointing stay, and I would probably only return under very limited circumstances.
