My wife and I stayed for two nights for a short break on our way home from England to France. We had stayed here many years ago before it was refurbished and were curious to see what had changed.
The hotel is now very smart and contemporary in style but retains the original inherent charm of the old building.
Our room was a basic double but was still spacious and very comfortable, the air-conditioning was very effective during the unusually warm weather.
The breakfast was magnificent with a good selection of quality hot and cold food on the buffet with omelettes to order. Also there are juices and smoothies, and the usual hot drinks.
What really makes the difference for us is the staff who were the most friendly, helpful and professional. In particular the young lady who was running the breakfast room was outstanding. She was making omelettes while refreshing the buffet, and dealing with difficult customers with politeness humour. Also the young man on reception on the evening of 17/6 couldn’t do enough for us, even though he was clearly quite busy. Even before arriving, Maité from front office was very helpful in resolving a booking issue through a booking company posing as the hotel. However all of the staff, including the room cleaner, were brilliant.
The chocolates in the room on arrival, and the complimentary biscuits when leaving, were a nice touch.
We were sad to leave and look forward to returning soon. Thank you!

I loved the peaceful and secluded courtyard bar.
We had a wonderful stay overall.
One of the highlights was the excellent service. We arrived at around 1:00 pm, well before the official 3:00 pm check-in time. We left our luggage at reception and returned at 2:00 pm to see if our room was ready. To our delight, it was, and we were allowed to check in early.
The hotel added some lovely personal touches, including chocolates and a thoughtful welcome note from the team. We were also given cookies when we checked out, which was a nice gesture.
We stayed in Room 36, which was spacious and very comfortable. The bed was huge, and the room was bright and airy thanks to three large windows. It was also well equipped with a mini fridge and a coffee machine.
The spa facilities were a great bonus. Booking was easy through reception, and bathrobes were provided. Just remember to bring your swimsuit.
Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of choices including champagne, fresh juices, fresh fruit, cereals, breads, scrambled eggs, hard-boiled and soft-boiled eggs, bacon, mushrooms, pancakes, beans, smoked salmon, cakes, and pastries.
The location was convenient, with a short bus ride from the train station followed by a 5–10 minute walk. There is also a supermarket nearby.
A few minor points for improvement: it would be nice if the hotel provided complimentary bottled water in the room. Guests should also be careful as some floors can be quite slippery. Finally, the shower has an unusual open layout with no door, which may not be to everyone's taste.
Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would happily return.

Am avut o experiență excelentă la acest hotel. Încă de la sosire am fost întâmpinați cu ciocolată, un gest foarte frumos care ne-a făcut să ne simțim bine veniți. Personalul a fost extrem de amabil și profesionist, mereu atent la nevoile oaspeților. Camera a fost foarte curată, spațioasă și confortabilă, iar facilitățile au fost peste așteptări. Micul dejun a fost variat și gustos, cu produse proaspete pentru toate preferințele. Atmosfera hotelului este plăcută și relaxantă, iar locația este foarte convenabilă. La plecare am primit și biscuiți, o surpriză plăcută care a încheiat perfect șederea noastră .Recomand cu încredere acest hotel tuturor celor care își doresc servicii de calitate și un sejur fără griji. Cu siguranță vom reveni!”

Zéér vriendelijk personeel, heel voorkomend en gastvrij. Ruime kamer, met veel zorg ingericht. Heerlijk schoon en fris. Heerlijk uitgebreid ontbijt.
As many have already written, this is a wonderful boutique hotel, a few minutes walk from the main market square.
The hotel is very welcoming & the fabulous staff are friendly and accommodating.
The room are spacious and well equipped ,with A/C, minibar,TV & hairdryer.
The breakfast is a fantastic selection of hot & cold food,and is well worth the extra.
The hotel does offer parking but there are only a couple of spaces and the entrance to it is extremely tight. There is parking nearby though.
I don't think you'll find a better hotel in Bruges centre
Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen und trotzdem ruhig. Die Mitarbeiter waren durchgängig freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Mein Zimmer war groß und durch die vielen Fenster auch sehr hell.
Die Sauna ist sehr schön und optisch ansprechend.
Das es keinen Ruhebereich gibt und auch eine kalte Dusche fehlt, der Cold Fog ist keine kalte Dusche!, schmälert allerdings den Genuss erheblich.
Die Bettwäsche, Laken und auch Bettbezug, waren löchrig und verschlissen. In einem 4 Sterne Hotel für mich ein "no go". Ebenso war die Zimmerreinigung ein Witz. Der Fußboden wurde überhaupt nicht gereinigt.
Die defekte Lampe im Badezimmerspiegel wurde trotz Hinweis am ersten Tag nicht repariert.
Ich habe den Eindruck, dass die Zimmer nicht gut gepflegt werden.
Etwas unschön gelöst ist auch, dass neben der Treppe Handtücher gefaltet und Pralinen gepackt werden.
Die Kaffeekapseln wurden nicht vollständig nachgefüllt bzw. waren leer.
Die kleinen Kleinigkeiten haben sich letztlich summiert.
