Pros:

The room is spacious but dated, and I apreciate that their staff were polite and helpful. Kudos to the housekeeping team servicing level 3, all of the staff were friendly and always greet the guests without fail. I told one of them that the toilet in my room has unpleasant smell on my way out, and she immediately worked on it. The smell was gone after I return to the room in the evening. The water temperature was also not consistence, sometimes you get only warm water at most, however the water pressure is good though.

The buffet spread for breakfast is not great but acceptable, unfortunately the spread for dinner is disappointing, and the hot dishes are not refilled nor remotely hot at all, unless you try the live-cooking station. I would expected a better standard for an Accor Hotel.

Einfach nur: Schrecklich und enttäuschend

Ich hatte das Zimmer mit Lounge Access gebucht und dementsprechend auch mehr bezahlt. Beim einchecken wurde mordant erklärt, dass die Lounge schon seit einem Jahr!!! Geschlossen sei…. Nach 1 Stunde Diskussion hat man mir dann ein freies Abendessen im Restaurant angeboten… Das Zimmer, 10. Stock, unterm Dach war sehr warm. Klimaanlage war auf Winterbetrieb.. trotz ausgeschaltung, 27 grad Raumtemperatur. Ein kleines Fenster konnte man 10 cm weit öffnen. Das Zimmer bräuchte dringend einer Renovierung. Zum Teil blättert schon die Tapete.. Wer Saunagänge bevorzugt, ist hier richtig. Am Morgen dann, ging der Lift nicht. Schöner Frühsport die 10 Stockwerke bis zum Empfang … Glücklicherweise nur Handgepäck… aber trotzdem.. alles in Allem: NIE WIEDER..

I liked the variety of the breakfast but the western food (sandwich) from room service is disappointing. The staff seem under trained. I don’t have menu in the room, so i asked front desk, he said I can call room service, I said I don’t have menu, he said they will tell you (I was shocked and assumed it is a short one), room service then transferred me to kitchen, kitchen then said I should check menu in room. I had to call front desk again and they finally sent me menu! And it took me 2 hours to get a damn sandwich.

Red lantern decoration on 1st & 2nd floor looks old. Service of staff is very nice. Room is clean and tidy. Bed is comfortable.

Pros:

Spent a week in the Crowne Plaza for a business conference and meetings.

Large rooms with Super comfy bed, lovely linen and fresh towels and robe every day. Lashings of hot water for the shower (or bath) and usual shampoo, soap etc.
Internet was a bit hit and miss at times, though in the main it was OK and good speed, good working space in the room.
Safe provided in wardrobe.
Slight issue with join between carpet and tile with the carpet holder poking through.
Air con is always a challenge in China - it was set at 24C - best way I found was to switch it off and open the window to cool the room down the lowest i got the room to was 15C!! (it was less than 10C outside).
Buffet breakfast with a vast choice range of European, Chinese and everything in between. Could do with a few more coffee machines as queues would develop at busy times!
Good leisure centre - decent gym with good choice of machines, pool excellent - remember to bring your cap - more pools should enforce the wearing of caps!
Fitness track opposite across the road around the Lake - fresh air when there wasn't smog - some days the air pollution can be very poor!
Buffet options at lunch time and also at night and hot pot for cooking your own dinner on the table too.
Shuttle to airport which is only 20 minutes away in quiet times.

Wonderful Hotel !!!!!!!
Pros:

This hotel was absolutely beautiful. The room was gigantic and clean. We spent 4 weeks in China and this was by far the best hotel we stayed in. Breakfast was awesome. Service was exceptional !!!!! A little far from the city but we didn’t care.
Would stay there for sure again.

An old hotel needing retrofit
Pros:

This is a old and big hotel that deserves a renovation / retrofit. Old carpet in the room, lightening in the room difficult to control and outdated decoration. Convenient being close to airport, with indoor pool and fitness center.

It’s not Convenient for kid.
You’d better to use global brand hotels for your happy trip in China.
I recommend Sheraton hotel in Tianjin.
