We had such a great stay at At The Sound in Noosa. Max and Trent are honestly the nicest hosts — so friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything we needed. They really couldn’t do enough for us and made the stay feel extra special.
The location is perfect, close to everything but still nice and peaceful. It was hands down the best place we stayed during our trip around Australia, especially for how reasonably priced it is.
Would 100% stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Noosa!
Friendly hosts who accommodated our different families. Rooms were clean and pleasant. Great stay!
Spa and pool very clean nice.
Room was well equipped even with washing machine and dryer.
Balcony was nice to have breakfast on.
We loved our girls weekend with At The Sound! The new owners are so kind and accommodating, provided many great recommendations and tips and were available for help whenever needed. The room was fresh and clean and the whole property felt safe and well cared for. Would absolutely stay again, thank you guys!
The decor is a bit dated, but the condo is clean, comfortable and equipped with everything a traveller needs (including washing machine and dryer). The patio in back of the unit is ringed by well maintained gardens - it’s a lovely spot for morning coffee or afternoon beer. The lakeside trail that begins a block away is good for a run.
The room was very dated and needed a good reno for it to be to a standard the place was selling itself to be.
A few of the issues we encountered:
1. The floor was wet when we got in the room.. wiped the liquid and seemed to be yellow liquid(?). Unsure what it was but tried not to think about it too much.
2. The airconditioning unit wasnt working. It was set to heating during a 20C night and couldnt be switched to a fan or cooling. The a/c unit was really dirty as well and was blowing dusty air.
3. The room had a slight off smell to it even with the windows open…
Definitely not worth it given the price.
Sucks to say this but suggest to go elsewhere..
We had an extremely disappointing experience with this accommodation. My partner had booked a stay here in mid July to celebrate her father’s birthday, with several family members also booking accommodation nearby. We chose this property because it was pet friendly and we were bringing our dog.
On the morning of our stay, we phoned to ask about checking in early and were told without any prior notice that our booking had been cancelled. At no point had we cancelled the booking ourselves, nor did the accommodation make any effort to inform us beforehand. When we called back around 12pm, we were simply told that nothing could be done.
This left us stranded in Noosa on the day, with my partner scrambling to find alternative accommodation at the last minute unsurprisingly, nothing was available. The staff made no attempt to assist us in finding a solution. After wasting the day trying to resolve the situation, we ended up driving home cutting the celebratory weekend short.
This level of service is unacceptable. Cancelling a confirmed booking without informing the guest and offering no support or alternatives is extremely unprofessional. I would strongly caution others against booking here.
Located on Noosa PDE, approximately 1km to Noosa River, and 2kms to Hastings St - Noosa Heads beach, 3kms to Noosa National Park.
Good option for our one night stay. Good location and had everything we needed.
Good for a couple bit noisy though
Great find. Large room, close to beaches and Dinning. Lovely Lady at reception. Rooms a little dated but clean and comfortable. Good value.
Great place to stay. Car parking out the back. Close to shops and transport. I enjoyed my time. Thank you.
This is a good location if you want to easily access the national park, Hastings St & Noosaville. Bus stop is right outside with regular services for only 50c. Extremely clean with all necessities provided.
You need your own Netflix or Stan account to access movies/shows and sometimes the cable service for this will be intermittently unavailable. The spa is nice - but it’s loud and I think if others are also using theirs the units must run out of hot water which happened a couple of times.
Bed was super hard & killed my back & couch isn’t nicest to relax on.
If you want a luxurious experience find somewhere else but this is good if you just want a base from which to explore & want clean & secure.
Did not see any staff the whole time we were there as the manager is not live in and the office was closed the whole time. Our welcome was a note stuck to the office door.
Great location and service. Would recommend to others
Just didn’t feel welcome, felt that I was being a nuisance when the aircon didn’t work. Given a page of rules, threatening a $50 fine if we didn’t leave the place tidy after taking out the rubbish and doing the washing up! The vinyl covered sofa was not welcoming either.
The room and was clean and had a washer and dryer. A 20 minute walk to the town centre, with a convenience store 5 minutes away.
Nice little place close to a the Noosa community. Friendly and helpful owners.
Had a lovely stay in Noosa. At the Sound is a great location, about a 30min walk from Hasting St (the main area), or there is a bus stop outside the accommodation which take you all over Noosa. The accommodation was fit for purpose and had everything we needed, it was clean and comfy. The Jacuzzi Bath was a highlight. However, on arrival, there was no one at check in/reception to greet us so we were reliant on the cleaner to show us our room. We also didn't have enough loo roll so had to get that ourselves after asking for it. Other than that, we had a good stay.
Property is located well for visiting Noosa, bus outside or Uber to go to main areas. The apartment was clean enough but as an apartment there were cobwebs in corners and furniture in need of deep clean ie sofabed and chair cushions.
The tumble dryer didnt work. There was a large enough gap under the main door for insects to come through- had to use a towel to block this. Bathroom basic and again dated. As a value for money property for the 1 night we stayed this was adequate for what we required as a family of 4 travelling Queensland.
We had a good time. There is just one thing I want to tell you. There was few toilet paper and no tissue in the property. I spent the night worrying that I would run out of tissues. Everything else was great. Thank you
