Good location
Pros:

The hotel location is very good, very close to Paradise and with many restaurants nearby. However, the hotel facilities are quite old and worn. The lift felt like it could break down at any time. The bathroom in the room had no exhaust fan, there was mould on the walls, stains on the bathroom door, and a thick layer of dust behind the air conditioner. The room also had a musty smell. Fortunately, there were no ants or cockroaches.

Housekeeping was done daily, and complimentary snacks and milk were provided, which was nice. However, it was very noisy every night—even with the balcony door closed, the noise still came through.

We needed Billy to handle our check-in and you to assist with check-out, but the front desk did not allow this.

Loved my stay there and would definitely go back.
Pros:

Lovely hotel with character. The room was well presented and clean, staff were very friendly and helpful and located was great. Also enjoyed the rooftop bar.

Great night for an overnight stay central in Surfers Paradise
Pros:

The room has 2 queen beds rather than a room with 1 big bed - for two adult men to have separate beds was great. The room came with a balcony which was nice - some apartments don't have balcony's. Was spacious enough to accommodate our overnight stay for a work function.

Cons:

1) It would have been nice to have a kitchen sink, a microwave and stove etc: but that would have been an oversight by me when making the booking and seeing what was provided in the room.
2) I found that when I used the shower, the removable shower head when hooked back on its attachment with the force of the water flow kept moving the shower head up towards the ceiling and spraying out of control which was annoying.
