Very comfortable and a great location.
Pros:

Good sized room that was very comfortable. Recently renovated so most things were in pretty good condition. Hotel location close to restaurants and beach was great. We got a room upgrade that was appreciated.

Cons:

Soundproofing of room wasn't great so the club on the ground floor was very loud at night within the room. Lifts need a major refurb.

Not a place to stay if you’re looking for calm or relaxing, very much a party hotel for younger people
Cons:

It was very noisy, no insulation from the noise of the roof top bar, which is actually on level 1. So all the music and chatter can be heard clear as day in your room.

The Island at Surfers
Pros:

It had everything we needed. Nice clean spacious room with comfortable bedding (king deluxe). Great shower facilities Good sized balcony. Rooftop bar ... great for relaxing ... it's even got a designated area for smokers -- how unusual! Good restaurant meals. Staff seem very friendly and efficient.

Cons:

Nothing that stood out.

Pros:

Staff were very accommodating. Great access to entertainment.

Cons:

A/C in our room kept making a noise. Probably needs to be replaced. Balcony door has no handle on the outside to get back in... 1101. Pool safety railing near walk up bar rusted through and no longer attached.

Good value, central location in Surfer's
Pros:

Rooms are quite comfortable and nicely decorated. Good windows mainly keep the street noise out.

Cons:

Elevators and Pool deck seem due for a spruce-up.

Good location
Pros:

The hotel location is very good, very close to Paradise and with many restaurants nearby. However, the hotel facilities are quite old and worn. The lift felt like it could break down at any time. The bathroom in the room had no exhaust fan, there was mould on the walls, stains on the bathroom door, and a thick layer of dust behind the air conditioner. The room also had a musty smell. Fortunately, there were no ants or cockroaches.

Housekeeping was done daily, and complimentary snacks and milk were provided, which was nice. However, it was very noisy every night—even with the balcony door closed, the noise still came through.

We needed Billy to handle our check-in and you to assist with check-out, but the front desk did not allow this.
