Cons:

The noise from the streets. I also do not like access to balconies in fear of a possible accident. I moved the outdoor furniture inside the room to avoid climbing .

It was disappointing as we always like to stay at the island whne we come to the GC but seems the quality has gone down

Cons:

It wasn’t very practical, the cot was dirty and hard. The bathroom had mould and was hard to shower with the configuration of the bathroom & shower doors making water go everywhere

Pros:

Comfortable bed, easy check in and out, location location location!!!!

Pros:

Clean, spacious and comfortable (had the suite). Very central location, and our room was in quiet end and not disturbed by noise from rooftop bar at all.

Cons:

Seemed expensive and staff not knowledgable about local events and gave incorrect information (twice).

The rooms themselves were lovely

Cons:

There’s a night club that’s music goes to well past midnight, no double glazed windows, could not sleep at all. No warning of this when you book. Could also hear every car and tram and people outside all night

I always like to stay here and will choose The Island first when on the GC.
Pros:

King deluxe room. It's always comfortable and nice every time I stay here.

Cons:

There is noticeably more outside noise in king room than there is when staying in a suite but that its understandable.

Good location but a bit dated
Pros:

I thought the room was expensive but maybe that's what you have to pay if you want something right in the middle of Surfers Paradise.
Beds and pillows were very comfortable.
Nice view over the canals.

Cons:

It is a bit dated, not very well maintained, the lifts and hallway were dirty, and the wifi didnt work so I didn't think it was good value for the price
