The staff were fantastic, I’ve stayed before, but I don’t think I’ll be back, I need more peace and quiet!
Pros:

Great location near town centre, beaches and golf course

Cons:

I had a first floor room above the bar (105) and it was very noisy on the tues and weds night that I stayed there: thumping music and lots of shouting and cheering until midnight both nights. Not peaceful at all. Also in the morning the floor upstairs creaked heavily and you could hear someone having a pee.
In addition, the shower in the bath was hard to operate and the temperature fluctuated during operation between very hot and cold. There was also a large area of black mould behind the taps on the bath.

Price does not match quality: it’s a luxury hotel price tag for a medium service. It’s above a pub after all, with noise until 12.

Som golfare är St Andrews magiskt. Hotellets läge var optimalt.
Pros:

Perfekt läge mitt i stan. Vi kunde promenera till golfbanorna. Bra med gratis parkering intill hotellet. Trevlig personal. Stort rum. Trevlig pub och restaurang med lagom livliga besökare.

Cons:

Allt var över förväntan så inget.

Buena situación pero hotel sobrevalorado.
Pros:

Un hotel céntrico, la habitación era grande de dimensiones así como la cama.
Las instalaciones funcionan bien aunque tienen bastantes años.

Cons:

Encontramos que falta bastante limpieza, la moqueta del suelo solo aspirada le faltaría una limpieza más profunda, las juntas del baño con moho.
La habitación está poco insonorizada se oyen perfectamente las otras habitaciones y el deambular por el pasillo.

Stayed at the top hotels in St Andrews but going forward I’d happily stay at the Greyfriars Inn again as good value for

More or less everything. Location, food and lovely staff. Rooms clean and tidy. Breakfast very good, and great choice for evening meal.

Cons:

Showerhead bracket broken, toilet flush really poor and extractor fan like a Harrier Jump Jet taking off in the toilet. Perhaps time for a wee tart up of toilet

Good value for money but a bit tired. The heating in the room wasn’t working and the two replacement heaters they’d left

Handy for almost everything in St. Andrews.
Parking is available next to the hotel but it’s not a dedicated car park for hotel customers.
The breakfast is okay but not great.

I wouldn’t go back after our first course no one came back to ask if we wanted pudding !

Didn’t get much sleep! Noise like a generator all night . Bathroom wasn’t clean . The run on shower door needs cleaned .
