The Dewa Koh Chang

Alles topp, sehr gute Lage. Schöner Strandabschnitt...alles sehr sauber. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Fantastiskt mysigt

Another Xmas, another fabulous stay at the Dewa for Christmas holidays and new year! We have been coming to the Dewa and Thailand for many years. We always stay at the Dewa whilst in Koh Chang. I love the location, in particular the peaceful surroundings, shaded quiet pool to laze the days away too, beautiful beach to walk and convenient restaurants etc nearby. The staff, led by the capable and friendly Harry do a great job. He always checks in to see how you’re doing and is great fun at the Gala event. I really appreciate his hospitality. The hotel is suited to couples wanting a quiet break who enjoy relaxed surroundings. For feedback proper coffee from freshly ground beans should be provided for breakfast (one in the coffee shop is great) but id expect this included at a 4 star hotel! The rooms need some renovation as they’re 15 plus years old and showing some wear. The balcony furniture in the villa rooms should be replaced with lounger chairs like the deluxe rooms (only thing that stops us booking villa room!) very much looking forward to returning at Xmas!

Beautiful hotel, very friendly staff, surprisingly calm an quiet even though it was fully booked. Loved the Spa services and beach massage! Overall the hotel exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely recommend it!

Lovely up-scale resort right on the beach. Loved the over-all style of the hotel and the sorrounding areas. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for and we loved our stay here. Only minor complaint was the music at the Beach Restaurant. The "band" was really not our style. But then you could just walk a little further to one of the many other restaurants on the beach or on the road.

The Dewa offers a comfortable and convenient experience on Koh Chang, if you are willing to pay a little more than the local average for accommodation. The pool is super spacious, I took good swims in there, it has several waterjets included so you can have a jacuzzi kind rest at the poolside and the ocean is so close and seamlessly connects to the hotel property. At breakfast I only chose the thai options and I really enjoyed the variety and attention to detail. There is a changing grill for breakfast and the warmed dishes change everyday. The only thing I would love to see improved is the coffee maker. Real and fresh grinded beans would be amazing to increase the value of the breakfast. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I would definitely come back.

Our time at The Dewa was fantastic from start to finish. We had the most amazing week from 19 - 26 December 2025. The hotel is beautiful, not too big and with gorgeous surroundings. We stayed in one of the villas which was great, however, the regular hotel rooms also looked fantastic and if we return (we would love to!) we would be very happy here too. The swimming pool is huge and we loved the swim up bar. Equally the beach area is perfect, plenty of shade and the deepest stretch of beach in the area. The tide is dramatic but even when it is all the way in there is still plenty of beach to enjoy. The sea was gorgeous, so warm and so clear.

Each of the beach restaurants in walking distance is brilliant, great offering and good value. But if you are looking for more liveliness then a 5 minute journey to the next town is all you need. So many restaurants to chose from and incredible value for money.

During our stay we booked a boat trip via the hotel which we thoroughly enjoyed. We also enjoyed Christmas which the hotel made so much effort for. There were so many decorations, plus carol singers at breakfast and a special beach buffet dinner with live music and dancing. Thoroughly recommend coming here for Christmas. We had one more event during our stay which was our engagement. My partner had planned it all out with the hotel staff and we enjoyed the most amazing evening in a private cabana on the beach. Absolutely faultless!

A special thank you goes to the hotel manager, Harry. He is fantastic! So friendly, happy and beyond helpful. He truly made our trip the best it could be. A few other members of staff also stood out (whose names we sadly can’t remember), a big thank you to each of you.

Die Lage war super, die Ausstattung der Zimmer ergab alles, was man brauchte! Der Pool ist sehr groß und sehr gepflegt, das Frühstück ist abwechslungsreich und sehr sauber, die Organisation von Roller mieten zB an der Rezeption hat sehr gut funktioniert und die Massagen am Strand sind toll!

Ich habe alle bewertungen gelesen. Dies waren die höufogsten kritikpunkte:
- in die jahre gekommen
- nägel stehen auf holzdielenheraus
-laute aircon
- unfreundlicher staff

Ich möchte das alles mit meiner rezension widerlegen:
Das hotel ist total schick, in boutiquegrösse das man alle gäste kennen lernen kann. Ansprechende architektur in sichtbeton stil.
Die holzdielen um den pool geben dem ganzen infividuwllen flair. Airco flt einwandfrei, nicht ganz leise. Der staff ist das beste am hotel. Sehe freundlich, ganz besonders mit kindern.
Das frühstück ist füe ein inselhoteö fantastisch.
Location sehr euhig mit vielen sehr guten strandlokalen in der umgebung. Preisleisting top!
Genügend liegen sowohl am strand aös auch am pool, eine seötenheit. Ausserdme ein hotel das versucht das blinde reservieren von liegen einzudämmen, indem si nach 45 min die handtücher entfernen.
Wir kommen wieder. Bichenswert!
