Cleanliness
8.9
Multiple guests describe rooms and public areas as clean and modern; isolated comment about toiletries being half full but overall cleanliness is consistently praised.
Service
9.8
Staff repeatedly described as very helpful, friendly and attentive; one incident noted reception's handling of repeated fire alarm triggers but overall service sentiment is strongly positive.
Location
10
Near-universal praise for the central, convenient location — described as 'right in the middle of town' and ideal for sightseeing and walking to attractions.
Room Quality
8
Rooms often called comfortable with good beds and temperature control, but some reviewers noted small beds, basic fittings, noise from above and dated bathroom fixtures or poor mirror lighting.
Amenities
6.8
Consistent issues with parking availability/distance, lack of minibar/water in rooms, small/no lounge area and evidence of cost-cutting (half-full toiletries) — amenities are a weaker area.
Value for Money
6.5
Several guests feel the hotel is poor value for the price (explicit 'not good value for money' comments); price seen as high relative to room standard and some services.
Food and Beverage
8.2
Mixed feedback on breakfast: some praise for freshly made English and good options, while others report limited selection, poor taste and weak coffee from machines.
Overall Experience
9
Generally positive stays highlighted (comfortable, clean, excellent location, friendly staff) but marred for some by parking, breakfast quality, value concerns and isolated serious issues like repeated fire alarms.

Lovely staff, clean but sleep could have been better.
Pros:

The staff were very helpful and great location.

Cons:

The rooms were a little basic for an expensive rate - the bed was quite small and noises from people walking above were very loud meaning it wasn’t a great nights sleep.

Pros:

Location could not have been better. Room was comfortable and quiet. Everywhere was very clean. Staff were all very pleasant and the breakfast was good.

Cons:

It would have bern nice to have a comfortable lounge area. There was only a small bar. There was parking but the main car park was some distance from the hotel - a good 5 minute walk.

Not good value for money
Pros:

The location is excellent, very close to the historic centre, and the air conditioning worked well. The staff were also friendly and helpful

Cons:

The breakfast was poor, with a very limited selection, tasteless food, and coffee from the machine which didn’t taste good at all… The room was not good value for money—we’ve stayed in much nicer hotels for half the price. The toiletries were only half full on arrival, which felt like another example of cost-cutting.

The worst part was the fire alarm, which went off several times (at night too) and woke our seven-month-old baby. Reception told us it was being triggered by guests taking steamy showers. Fire alarm looked old, suggesting this is an ongoing issue that hasn’t been fixed.
