A beautiful place, room and environment coupled with excellent thoughtful service.

This was a perfect stay to get recharged, enjoy much-needed solo recharge time, and enjoy the beauty of trails, beaches, and views just steps outside of this hotel. When you pull onto the property, it feels like a property in Provence and very different from any other hotel you might find in Half Moon Bay. There is a charm and also a warm professionalism in how it is run. I recommend staying on the second floor, if only for the ceiling height, and the balconies overlooking the back garden. I hope to return again and appreciate the care that the staff gave to all of their guests.

Great location for seal watching and trail walking. Can walk to restaurants. Close to Half Moon Bay shops. Room was spacious, clean, and well decorated. Wine hour in late afternoon was wonderful, and brought to room was delicious. Very romantic spot!

The location

We just spent a week with a very aggressive and active road trip around Northern California covering 850miles, with 3 young kids—and used 2 nights at Seal Cove Inn to provide a very restful wind-down before our flight home. The location is perfect, with nearby tide pooling adventures, cliffside trails for gentle hikes and great ocean vistas. Wine provided in the evening (to the adults) was lovely. We loved the do-it-yourself coffee bar. We appreciated their tolerance when our kids violated the otherwise very quiet and calm atmosphere. We can, however, offer some advice to improve the place. We thought the bathrooms could use an update—most places now have flexible shower nozzles. The towel warmers, although welcome got too hot and could result in a burn if not careful. We loved Seal Cove Inn and will return some time!

This place is a hidden gem! Clean and comfortable accommodations, 5 minute walk to the beach, breakfast is amazing, and staff are super welcoming and helpful. Mary and Michelle were particularly amazing during our trip. 100% will be back for any future stays on the coast

Wonderful spot for Half Moon Bay area. Extremely quiet location. Beautiful nature preserve right behind the Inn and the ocean is a 5 minute walk. Great restaurants near by. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are large and beds are fantastic. Best sleep on our trip.

This is a beautiful, comfortable Inn. The room has all the amenities. The property and surrounding area are spectacular. The best part of the Inn is the way the staff makes you so welcome. I always feel like I’m visiting their home.

It was fabulous! Loved our room. The staff was very accommodating. The breakfast was delicious. The Inn is located near a marine reserve so you have an easy walk to watch the seals. I would highly recommend.
