Everything! Really comfortable, cosy and spacious rooms. Loved the cosy lounge room with fireplace; very friendly owners and delicious meals.
Unique place to visit!
Great central location. Wonderful hosts. Comfortable and warm. Enjoyed included food.
Looking forward to the planned lift.
Location, on the main street.
I recently stayed at Hotel Valhala and was not impressed. First off, there’s no elevator, which means navigating narrow, steep steps to the second floor with luggage is a real challenge. The room itself is located at the back of the hotel, facing a retaining wall or slope just a few meters away, so you get no sunlight. Additionally, the room was dim due to the absence of a ceiling light, creating a dingy atmosphere.
The furniture in the room seems to be a mismatched collection of old leftovers rather than a thoughtfully curated setup. The armchairs, in particular, are oversized and awkwardly placed, making it nearly impossible to move around comfortably—especially when trying to reach the bedside. Overall, the practical and aesthetic shortcomings made for a disappointing stay.
Michael & Darrel who were very Welcoming, friendly & offered great service & detail.
Location was also fantastic
Dinner and breakfast both great meals. They also provided a lunch pack that was handy and great for following day.
Great Location just a lovely spot and takes you back in time. We had Dinner & Breakfast both great . The whole experience was very enjoyable. Great service in a very relaxed environment. Loved the 3 golden retrievers that just made the experience a very welcoming one.
Nothing comes to mind
Great location, lovely owners and comfy, big rooms
Dinner and breakfast were great.
Dinner was excellent! out shone anything else in town by a mile. Free umbrella at the door, tested it out in heavy rain and it work really well.
Perfect location in the heart of beautiful Walhalla. The stay included a delicious dinner and a lovely continental breakfast. Very comfortable room and extra areas to relax with a cuppa.
Very hard to fault, this property was exactly what I was after for this one night visit.
My partner and I had a lovely experience at the Star Hotel Walhalla. The location is remote, very beautiful - a genuine getaway from the madding crowd and the hosts are warm and extremely knowledgeable. Dinner and breakfast are included and they were both very enjoyable. Dinner was especially good - simple fare cooked to perfection - you can't go wrong. There's a lot to commend a stay at the Star Walhalla.
The main meal was included in the price. It wasn't great. The risotto was dry and clumped together. Everything else was great.
