The location was superb
The location is perfect for access to Sovereign Hill. The rooms are warm and comfy. The breakfast was well presented with many choices.
The shower recess is a little small.
We just spent 2 days and nights at the Sovereign Hill hotel. We are 2 family groups and had adjoining rooms to each other, both having the same set up of a king bed and a set of bunks. The room has TV, a larger than normal size fridge, kettle and a well equipped bathroom, inclusive of lovely toiletries. The bed was very comfortable and our grandkids loved the adjoining doors so they could visit us as required.
We spent one full day at Sovereign Hill settlement and enjoyed it very much. It was lovely to bring our grandkids to see “The olden Days” and nostalgic for us as the place hasn’t changed at all.
We had lunch at the New York bakery, very yummy!! The grandkids thought the waitresses tradition clothing was very exciting, as they hadn’t ever seen this before now. Stage coach rides were on the agenda, candle making, leather stamping, mine tours and stops at the play grounds.
It was a fantastic 3 generation 2 day trip. A must for Victorian Australian history.
the property was so cute! i loved the historical feel and how beautiful the room was. the staff were incredible and even helped us find our room as we got super lost haha! everything was clear and easy to understand with the heating & cooling and i loved the recommendations for food places around the hotel.
nothing!
Loved the easy access to Soverign Hill museum theough a side gate. The kids games room and open fireplace and old fashioned / heritage feel were also great. Lovely and warm too.
Friendly staff! They were amazing!
There were potato chips and some lollies left on the floor when we got in and slight smell in the bathroom.
I’ve stated before and it’s excellent. We had my daughters boyfriend from England with us and he absolutely loved Sovereign Hill
It was a huge issue however my daughter’s room had no towels when we arrived. When she was taking a shower there was no shampoo or body wash in the pump packs on the wall in the shower so she had to make a dash to my room to jump into my shower.
