Normal not as I expected
Pros:

Staff at reception were excellent. Room is small and dated, air conditioning and TV not working.

Cons:

Air conditioning not working, so no heater for the night. TV does not have all the usual channels.

The shower was very tiny and to be honest I believe all you can eat breakfast was over priced and not much that the kids wanted to eat .

Pleasant stay, convenient location, easy access and multiple cafes and eateries in the area
Pros:

Room was cosy and had easy access to Sovereign Hills activities with multiple access to areas.

Cons:

Bunk bed for the little ones in the same room as the queen bed. The heater was not working well though.

Pros:

Proximity to sovereign hill was fabulous.

Cons:

The room was quite dusty and very cold. Ballarat is incredibly cold in winter. There was a spilt system heater however inadequate bedding. One single polar fleece style blanket for kids bunks is inadequate. Fortunately 2 beds were not used during the stay so kids could have an extra blanket each however even with this it was cold. The hotel required warmer bedding.

Great family getaway during the winter wonderlights and school holidays
Pros:

The location was great. Entry in and out of the park was excellent and the feel of the hotel was like a summer camp. The facilities were good and staff very helpful and welcoming.

Cons:

Our room and lodging was the furthest away and down a few flights of stairs for mobility purposes this isnt ideal but just made the trek longer, it would have been nicer to stay in a family room closer to the park.
