You get what you pay for - a comfy bed, a decent shower, a communal kitchen, and hopefully some good company from new people. If you stay, go to whalebone brewery with your new friends, get a pizza and a few beers, recipe for a great time.
Would have been nice if there was a shower/toilet block as well as the shower in the room.
Location was handy near to the shops. Pool area was nice although was bit chilly in the water. Great that whale shark companies stopped at the Pot shot to do pickups etc. Staff were generally very helpful.
Well, overall possibly the least impressive backpackers I have stayed in anywhere in the world. That's across 35 countries.
A kitchen with one cup available for tens of people, a scary selection of cooking gear, cutlery and crockery and generally not up to what is being charged. It appears it's been some time since the management compared their offerings to other places around Australia and the world. Yes, back packers will take stuff but in my properties that is called the cost of doing business. You can't short change every other person as a result of a bad few eggs.
I don't believe much has been spent on anything other than essential repairs and am aware of the recent cyclone. None of my comments relate to cyclone damage.
It looks like a case of a captive market without mid range pricing available so either pay through the nose or resort to a questionable backpackers.
Good location. Restaurant and bar adjacent to accommodation.
Noisy fridge. Much more basic than I had anticipated. Very noisy Friday night with loud music playing till late.
My room was decent, clean and good size; the location was chosen so I could meet others the next day. I liked the outdoor tables off the restaurant/cafe area for sitting with my meal. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful
The outdoor furniture in the "lounge" area was like from a flophouse; in fact even though I was casually dressed I decided not to sit on the couches or chairs. It occurred to me that these were really backpacker-level accommodations. Given that it's maybe a place for beach-goers or such, I suppose that would be appropriate for that clientele. The meal I ordered, can't recall the menu item right now, was barely decent - just wasn't flavorful or well-executed by the kitchen.
Friendly staff, great service.
Good location, good price
Thankful it was open and available so I was able to travel to Exmouth after all
No bathrooms other than the one in the room.
People were living long term in the room and it was an absolute mess and dirty. Some roommate was bringing a guest overnight and having intimacy and there’s no surveillance whatsoever.
Cockroaches walking on the walls.
Cleanliness of my room
The tv didn’t work
Good location, short 5min walk into town. Clean rooms, comfortable bed
Location, facilities, staff
Lack of number if power points in bedroom. Bathroom/ lack of cupboard or bench space. A number of cockroaches were running around.
Good value for Exmouth .
There was no blind in main bedroom , did advise reception but it was not addressed in our 2 night stay
Location and comfy beds
No wifi in rooms and tv didn’t work. A lot of mozzies & midgies in room
Very comfortable and had everything we needed for a base Exmouth
The pool was out of order following the cyclone, we would have liked to know this before arriving but totally appreciate the reason.
Located close to town shops, restaurants. Plenty of power points by the bed.
Nowhere to put suitcases except the floor. Only 1 chair in the room, no table. Fridge door had build up of greasy dirt from hands. Luggage storage (after check out) was full of litter.
