Absolutely terrible service, disgusting hotel and no response to emails regarding serious health & safety concerns. I sent multiple emails, had to make multiple phone calls to follow up and am still yet to be refunded for what was a refundable booking anyway. The hotel are refusing to refund a night that we had to stay as when we arrived reception was closed and did not reopen until 8am when we checked out. Apartment was filthy dirty, mouldy bread in cupboard, balcony doors did not open, blinds in rooms didn’t work at all, no streaming services on tv, wifi didn’t work, light outside (only outside lights) had water leaking through it, bed quilts had urine, blood and what looked like faeces stains and this list goes on. I reported all of this to reception and even emailed the ‘guest experience manager’ to be ignored. After leaving I see many reviews of other people having the same experience and hotel doing nothing to fix. I have reported to Office of Fair Trading. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY !
Perfect place to visit Airlie Beach and withsundays
The room was impeccable and the service at the hotel has been outstanding throughout our stay, Maccarena was always readily available with great suggestion and support.
We spent 4 days at Sebel but we would have loved stying for longer.
Highly recommended
Decent room and hotel but would not stay again. 7 night stay and room not serviced once! Had to ask for fresh towels. Kitchen dishcloth cut into 4 pieces, one tea towel, no tissues. Facilities in room were ok but bed was not comfy.
Walking distance for adults with no mobility issues into town is fine, but they fail to tell you that the hotel is on a very steep hill which was difficult for us older people.
Also, there is only one restaurant accross the road, nothing at all at this hotel, no coffee shop close either.
Pool area is lovely with nice views and the staff were very friendly.
Our unit was clean, well appointed and had a great view of the water. Staff were obliging and friendly..
The only thing that we could mention was that the pool had no steps to get in or or out. The ledge was a bit high, so people with restricted mobility would not be able to use it easily. Other than that, it’s a great place to stay
Comfortable with plenty of amenities and convenient with a nice view of the bay. The customer service was excellent, particularly from Sadhbh who went above and beyond to help during my stay, as I had broken my ankle and needed assistance with luggage amongst other things.
Great apartment 2
10 minutes walk to downtown Airlie beach near the port great location
Run down for Sebel Name need some upgrade
The one bed apartment was excellent, lovely balcony and lovely view. Shower was a bit tricky up a couple of steps into jacuzzi bath. Would have been nice to have been nice to have some food/drink amenities on site, but Airlie beach was only 10-15 min walk away. The only issue is the extremely steep driveway up to reception. Bit of a hard slog dragging a 23kg case up! Some taxis would drive up the slope, so not an issue when coming back from having a meal .
It would be lovely if we were provided with more garbage bags, dishwashing tablets, washing powder, uht milk, sugar samples to use for the entire week, sample sized butter as when we purchased groceries we had to throw out due to bulk couldn’t finish and we had to fly home, couldn’t take home …
Half empty beer bottle cigarette butt and ash on balcony on arrival.
Bathroom tiles need regrouting.
Bathroom shower screen was loose and unsafe.
Dirty splash marks on Bathroom tiles.
Driveway too steep to walk up to reception.
Rocky steps to reception too narrow and steep to take luggage.
Elevator door in garage always propt open. Unsecured hotel access.
Staff unaware of local tourist onterests or facilities.
Price was great, unit itself was a great setup, the walls could do with a fresh paint, the lounge was also a little past it's expiry date.
Location from shop's and main part of town was a short 10 minute walk. A great Thai restaurant next door.
Great place great views
i loved the topless receptionist
Absolutely loved our stay at The Sebel Whitsundays! The views were breathtaking, the rooms spotless and comfortable, and the pool area was perfect for relaxing. The staff were so friendly and welcoming – they really made our trip special. We can’t wait to come back!
Wife and I spent 10 days at the Sebel after time on "Hammo", and loved the stay. The location for us was perfect being across the road from the Port of Airlie where the big cats depart to the islands and the reef. And only maybe 10-15 minute walk into town for shopping, or taking a break for brekkie, lunch or dinner ! A suggestion, if you are walking - don't take the path at the bottom of Hermitage drive, go across the roundabout and via a much more scenic route on Port Drive behind the Port carparks and The Boathouse apartments and marina !
Rooms were nice and clean, plenty of towels etc and our apartment looked over the pool which we frequented - it was heated and that was brilliant !!!
Staff were very helpful and friendly - thanks to Dani and Maca and other managers who's names I missed ... Even weird requests like "have you got a screw driver" were covered with a smile !
We could have stayed longer but time ran out - highly recommended !
Thanks guys !

Super helpful staff who accommodated our early morning arrival from the train.
Great room with lovely views.
Having washing machine and dryer in the room was super useful.
Easy walk into town centre.
Definitely recommend the sunset cruise.
Would love to stay again.
The room we had was not suitable for older people. The shower was set up inside the spa bath and it wasn’t easy to get in and out of the bath. We felt a bit unsafe.
Its a little out of town but great views. 10mins walk to main strip
