Really disappointing for how expensive of a hotel it is. Worst nights sleep I had in New Zealand because of loud music a
Pros:

The property is close to town, the bar and restaurant are nice and the bed was comfortable.

Cons:

This was the worst nights sleep of any hotel I stayed at in New Zealand. There was some event the night I stayed and the music and bass were pounding so loudly in my room that was removed from the main hotel building, until midnight, that I couldn’t fall asleep for an hour after it ended. The TVs are also very out of date, and while I didn’t come to New Zealand to watch tv, with how expensive the room is, I expected much more. You basically had your choice of 10 channels.

Lovely view from lake side rooms
Pros:

Lady on reception was excellent. She explained everything and was so helpful. We were upgraded to a lake view room.
Ideally located.
Breakfast buffet was very good, plenty of choice.
Swimming pool had leaves and insects on it so was not very inviting. It didn’t seem very heated either.
No lift but they had someone to take bags to room. We didn’t use this facility as there appeared to be a backlog of cases.
We used the bar in the evening and the staff were friendly.
Overall, I would stay here again.

We really enjoyed it and we were so glad we chose a room having the lake.
Pros:

We had dinner there one night and it was exceptional quality. Breakfast was also very good and the views having both meals was lovely. Loved the laundry facilities and the hotel was in a great position for walks and shopping and cafes.

Cons:

The bathroom was very modern but the beds/mattresses were a little dippy.

Close to town but not value for money.
Pros:

We liked that it was close to the main Street and on the lake.

Cons:

The room was clean but very over priced for what it was. It was just a basic room. The breakfast was not “topped” up hence we had no fruit and there was nothing gluten free so not coeliac friendly.

Great views, lovely rooms, pleasant staff.
Pros:

We loved this hotel. The room had a gorgeous view over the lake which you could look at with a drink from the chairs on the veranda. The room was spacious and well appointed and the shower was one of the best we’ve used in our time in New Zealand. Staff were helpful and pleasant, even when we managed to lock ourselves out of our room! We recommend this hotel and would very happily stay here again.

Lovely but expected a nicer room
Pros:

Location was very good

Cons:

I liked the property but for around $500 per night I expected more. The Villas are run down & are more like a motel room.
The breakfast was fantastic 😄

Good hotel in a great location
Pros:

The hotel is located along Route 94 on the small hill overlooking the magnificent Lake Te Anau. It’s an easy walking distance to the centre of town. There are plenty of parking spaces at the back.

The reception is on the right after crossing the double glass doors. Long corridor leads to the rooms and stairs. There is no lift but porters utilize a special luggage lift that can speedily deliver bags to your room.

Our Lake View room was located on the first floor. It was spacious, with ample wardrobe space, plenty of seating and a comfortable double and single bed. There were tea and coffee facilities.

Bathroom was rather compact though functional, with walk-in shower.

WiFi signal was good. Good selection of TV channels.

Buffet breakfast had great selection of cereals, breads, cheeses and hot dishes as well as fruit.

We dined at the restaurant and the whole experience was excellent despite some teething problems with the booking.

Zéér teleurstellend.
Pros:

Personeel was vriendelijk. Het hotel is fraai gelegen aan het meer maar daar hebben wij weinig van gezien aangezien onze kamer aan de achterzijde was.
Een klein koelkastje en een waterkoker met thee en koffie. Echter géén decafé.
De kamer was schoon.

Cons:

Thank you, next!
Pros:

Location was good

Cons:

To call it a Villa is over selling it. It's an independent room. It needs to be updated as it's like being back in the 90's. The bed is small for 2 regular size adults. Plus be sure to keep the blinds down as anyone walking by can see everything inside through the many windows.
