Comfort Suites Sulphur - Lake Charles

Was sent to occupied room. Was woke up by someone trying to get into my room. First room had a strong smell like that axe spray not clean, the phone didn’t work, the remote didn’t work the fridge didn’t work. The mattress on sofa bed was really nasty. No idea who the manager is. No name tags. Lady running front desk during day on weekend has no idea what she’s doing. No name tags so no name. Breakfast was ridiculous missing items only sugar free syrup. These rooms are $100 a night. No sense in this. Carpets need shampooing mold in bathrooms. The new owners have dropped the ball for greed.

The entire stay was a catastrophe. 1st the lock on the door to our room wouldn't work. After a number of tries to fix the lock they had to move us to another room. So we had to pack our stuff up & change rooms, which was not as big & nice as our first room. 2nd, we started noticing water on the floor between the toilet & sink. We put a towel down & was going to inform them but then later when my husband was using the sink to shave, we noticed water was pouring out from under the sink, we had to use all our towels to clean it. So all the next day maintenance was in our room repairing it. 3rd, that evening our toilet wouldn't flush & stopped up. My husband goes to the desk & they give him a plunger & he was told to use that, they didn't come fix it. 4th, the hairdryer was falling off the wall. And in the mist of all this the manager tells me & my husband she was going to discount our bill for all the trouble but they didn't. We still got charge full price. I would also like to add, my husband & i are both handicap & he's a war veteran.

I had a subpar room that was filthy. I was charged the entire stay upfront, which the hotel claims was Booking.com and you all claim was the hotel. I was locked out of my room because the door lock stopped working from midnight to after 2am!!! I complained and tried to get my money back to switch hotels but was denied by both Booking and the hotel. I complained and sent in photos of the room and a detailed explanation as to what happened and all you give me back in compensation was $17.55???!!!! That’s a damn slap in the face!!! Down right disrespectful!!!

Breakfast was meager. Basic. No originality or extra something.

I will be using Travelocity from now on unless this affront is corrected.

Room had broken lamp shades and the shower curtain was too short and got the bathroom floor all wet. It was right next to a truck stop and trucks were coming all day and night. Very loud noise from that.

Chairs sat a little low at my table.

The floors in the hotel hallways were awful very dirty carpet and the hotel hasn’t been updated in a while a lot of rust in the bathroom and wall paint was peeling and the smell in the room was not refreshing at all
