Good stay, perfect location and comfortable beds. Staff was very helpful and kind. Especially Laszlo on check in!

Pros:

In my opinion this should have been an elite Hyatt experience. The hotel room is tired. This hotel does not have the amenities of a Hyatt hotel at this price point. The bathroom needs a good scrubbing and if you want privacy this bathroom will not be for you. The door is see through and there is a large window that faces the beds of the the room. Breakfast staff are not existent and they do not provide a menu to order anything fresh. The buffet food was not fresh and we arrived around 9:00. Beds and pillows are very uncomfortable and staff were slow to assist in getting what we needed. There is not a coffee maker in the room and no available coffee on site. We were disappointed with this Hyatt Centric and will not stay here again.

Big rooms and good location
Pros:

Rooms are very large - biggest room I've stayed at in NYC. Location is great for anyone working in fidi. Room service was very thorough!

Not at the expected level.
Pros:

Nice location, the rooms are big and modern for NYC standards and the staff is friendly.

Why two stars?
1. The breakfast is really poor, without basic things such as cheese and ham.
2. I have asked about the room service in one night and the answer was: “there is no room service because we are short-staffed. You can go to the mezzanine, grab a cup and take to your room”. This is a Hyatt …
3. In the check-out I discovered that they were asking me to pay for the breakfast paid in advance. It was told to me that someone else had had breakfast below our room number. They easily cancelled this, not at problem at the end.

In summary, below Hyatt standard of service.

Ps: we stayed for four nights, in none of them the hotel bar was opened.

Not great.
Pros:

The refrigerator was not functioning. The room thermostat was also malfunctioning, causing the room to become very warm. The lighting did not work as expected. Additionally, the access card had issues functioning properly.

Beautiful hotel but service could be better. Bumpy check in.
Pros:

Loved how modern the rooms were.

Cons:

2 of the lifts were out of service but that wasn’t obvious the lift door was cracked open. A drunk person would try to pry it open and it was an accident waiting to happen.

Shower leaked all over the bathroom.

Not enough people at front of house to help with check in. Our taxi ended up leaving us and our 6 suitcases on the street, it took an additional 15 mins after I asked for help for staff to help. But it was literally because they had no baggage staff.

Don't waste money there. Look for something better
Pros:

Rooms are good, but the helpdesk and overall experience with staff was very poor. They keep promising to send in kettle or any other item you have requested, but even after multiple follow ups. Nobody turns up.
